I'm wondering if I spend the $711 to get 4 full Puppy Demo Kits, how long will it take me (or how many wholesale buyers I need to sign up) will it take me to make back that initial investment and start making a profit...
I know you can't give me an exact #, but an idea would be helpful...thinking maybe can talk hubby into the full 4 instead of just 1 if I can give him an idea of how long it will take to pay back saving for that $711....
Thanks everyone!! I know I'm asking lots of questions, but you all seem to be the best source for info anywhere!!!

$2100 straight retail value of products sold would bea profit of $735. It's probably more difficult trying to figure out how many sets or how many biz builders it would take as there are too many variables. Very few folks buy the set at retail price.
HTH a little.

Why don't you start off with one pup? You don't have to have a million on the things to get you going. I made back my initial investment in the first month of being a consultant (about $500). You don't have to have that many...

If your husband would go for it, I would!
If you had four demo kits, you could let 12 people per week do the try before you buy! That's alot of people in one month! If only 1/2 of the people you let try before you buy (24) bought the kit, you'd be qualified for DM in one month!
Why not have 4 "employees" out there working for you instead of one?
Also, when you are talking to biz bldrs, they will ask, what did you do? They will follow your example!
Just my thoughts!Edited by: arbonnebev

Hello, the four seemed a bit much for me too, but I ended up getting 3 (you may think I should have just got 4, but I just couldn't afford it). The first 3 people I demo'd ended up purchasing something. One person even ended up signing up and buying 3 sets as gifts. So you never know. My AM told me that the more you initially invest, the more you want to push yourself because you get a little nervous, know what I mean? And it's true, for me at least. The amount of $ I put in made me push myself to actually go out and do something rather than staying at home just thinking about doing something. just a thought. thanks! Do whatever works best for you, in the end it'll pay off!!

I agree, do what you feel is comfortable for you. Start with less, if you find that more often than not you wished you had more, then get more.smileys/smiley1.gif If you don't feel comfortable with 4 right now, don't do it... hth

I bought 4 when I started.. I think a lot of people want to do the four.. the ReSults set. It comes with 4 and some free stuff for going with it.. Like sample packs. Then you have sample packs ready to go with the big set. If you have 4 set around you will be more likely to get those out then 1 or 2.. or even just samples. You will want to get your money and not so easy to just push off.
Just some thoughts. It is your biz. You work it the way you want.

I bought the 4 pups, I currently have all 4 out with people trying.
All are going well, one reported that her skin burned at one
point. She is trying to see which of the products did this.
She was diagnosed with rosacea last year so this line may not be for
her but she wants to try something else if this doesn't work for her.
She is going to her dermatologist this week for her appointment
and she is going to show the products to her and ask her to check out
the ingredients.
I also have been giving out hand cream samples etc. I feel like
you cannot start a business without some initial
costs. But, to start your own business for less than
$2,000 is really good. I really don't think that you
can just pay the $29.00 and ask people to buy to try. If
you really want to build the business, you need to invest a little bit
of money and your time!

I read in the updated Results Approach presentation that Arbonne would prefer we give out the sample packs of RE9 with a completely SEALED set of full size bottles and only have our potential clinets open the bottles if they know they plan to purchase them.
Is this what you all are doing?

Wow, that is a great idea, I wish I had thought of that. I
have 4 pups out now and I was concerned about taking them back and
having other people try them. I know if I was trying something, I
would not want to use something that others had used.
I agree with that and I think that is what I am going to
start trying....
