I was wondering if anyone here uses Constant Contact or IContact to email your newsletters? I have been using Constant Contact, but they are now charging a $15 monthly fee and I was wondering if there are any other sites that are similar that charge less. I really to track opens and click-thrus.
Thanks!

Hey Dawn,

That's been Constant Contact's charge for years. They give you a free trial period as long as you keep your subscriber list under 50, but even then the free trial only lasts so long.

There ARE other providers out there... but it has been my experience that they're just not worth it. When you're sending e-newsletters for your business, you want to be sure that they're delivered, right? And Constant Contact is by far the best at preventing spammers and therefore keeping their servers off of the blocked list with e-mail providers.

If I were you, I'd figure out whether or not tracking the opens and click-throughs was bringing enough useful feedback to make the$15 fee worthwhile (remember that it's tax deductible in most cases). If the feedback datais helping you to adjust your marketing and therefore increase your sales, then stick with CC. If it's not, then just go with a free service. Just go into it with the knowledge that one of the sacrifices will be not reaching everyone on your list. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

I love Constant Contact. I use it for customer and team newsletters. That is worth the monthly fee alone. But I also have customized other emails that I use regularly for my business. Like you, I like keeping track of who opens and who clicks through, it is so important. Plus I found CC to be so easy to use and they have some great free seminars available to members. The templates make for a very professional image and presentation.

I use a Yahoo group to distribute my newsletters. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

Signature HomeStyles send our emails out for us...no charge. They go out monthly. For example they send the same email, different contact info to ALL SHS customers. So my customers get our professional looking email with my contact info at the bottom. Its a one page email that has hosting specials, sign up info and a link to my website and the Mega Super Sale. I always have a few orders from the mega sale after that email goes out!

Hi,

I use both Constant Contact and iContact. I do know there is Get Response also.

Your other option is just to do a plain email using a group such as Yahoo. Sometimes just plain emails have a better delivery, however, I like the professionalism of the other services much better.
