I have been out of the Direct Sales loop for several years and am now getting back in to it - full fledged.

For those of you doing party plans, internet sales and the like, did you have to have any business license/permits, or any other type of business documentation? I am not even sure any more what all is out there that I probably need.

I am starting my businesses on a shoe-string budget and need to know how to go about getting everything set up just right so I am sure I am legitimate.

I currently do business with several companies and in the process of combining them all to one domain name on the internet.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!

You'll need to check with your city. Some require a business license, some don't, depending on how they catagorize you.

Yes, Check with your city. Most party plan biz's do not need a biz license as you don't have a store front, but all areas as different.
