Ok ladies, I need some suggestions. I have sold Tupperware in the past, but never have gotten alot of parties. Usually I needed about four parties as a get started. How can I go about doing that. I always had a party for myself, but nobody ever came. I need any and all suggestions on how you got your leads, before I jump in again.

I do craft shows and that's how I get the majority of my leads, but I don't do home parties, I mainly do catalog parties! Easy! I advertise a lot online and it works well for me.

I joined TW in March this year and had a grand opening Online party and did pretty well with it. It seems more and more people aren't interested in attending a "home party" so maybe you shoudl try that. Send the link to everyone you know, post it on boards, etc.

Then about a month or so after my online party some people didn't get to order so I held an actual party for myself and gave away some door prizes etc. I did better at the party than the online party.

Do you have any family or friends that would be willing to host the first one for you? Then make sure they invite people outside your normal "friend" group so you can possibly get some leads.

Go to your local businesses that have bullentin boards, post flyers, business cards on them. Get some magnets or decals for your car with your website on them. If you go to the dr, take some catalogs and leave them in the waiting room and give some to the receptionist too (if they dont' mind).

You can do this! I was worried about making my quota but so far I have had no issues at all! I am well over the amount I needed and that's by just friends and family and 1 fundraiser.

Goodluck and hope to hear you rejoined us!

Just out of curiousity, have you signed on the dotted line yet? You don't seem super excited about Tupperware and maybe that is coming across when you talk to people about your business.

Have you considered looking into other companies that sell products you are passionate about? Maybe you love to scrapbook, to cook, or to decorate...

I think loving what you sell is SO important!

As Nikki says, you need to love what you do! And Tupperware is pretty cool. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Craft shows are awesome, fairs, booths, parks, word of mouth! So much of it is just asking!

When you did your grand opening, did you just create a list and send out invites or did you talk to all the guests before hand? That personal invite makes a HUGE difference. :-)

I have found that the "trick" to direct sales is loving what you do. If you are only doing Tupperware because that is what you know how to do and not because you LOVE it that will show through to people. If you are looking at getting back into direct sales I really suggest finding the product that is right for you - not just the "familiar" one or the 1st one that is there. I worked for 3 with Lia Sophia being the 3rd over the last 16 years and I LOVED every one of them at the time (had to stop the other 2 due to physical limitations and they were big and bulky) but I still love the products.

I have been with Lia Sophia for almost 2 years now and I wish I had found it sooner - it is my "niche" and I have gone further with this company than I ever thought of with the other two. And it's because I truly believe in the company, I love the products, I am proud to represent them and I know that they are behind me 100%.

Find what works for you - what are your interests? Cooking? Reading? Personal health & wellness? Jewelry?Decorating? etc and then research those companies. Compare them with TW - how do you feel abuot them vs TW? When you see yourself talking about a product - what would your dream product be?

I hope you find what you looking for and I truly believe that if YOU believe in YOU and the product you represent you can and will go far.
Just my thoughts. Hope they help

How true - if you really are in love with the products that you are selling - your enthusiasm will show...people will buy...come to parties...you'll sponsor...The Sky is the limit! Go with what you love!

Best of luck!

I signed on with Tupper in Feb and made manager in May, I joined for the discount not because I had this great love for Tupper. In the process and passing months I've found that there is a number of things that I love about Tupper, my team, the products, the income I'm making...but mostly my team. We have one of the most supportive teams! We also have one of the fastest growing teams and our training program is excellent.

I think finding a company that will prove profitable is also just as important and one that is useful. Tupper is one of the oldest, most dependable direct sales companies on the market today. BUT having said that, you must be willing to put the time in to build your business.

Good luck on your decision!!

I agree with Nikki and Nora! If you don't have a passion for what you are selling, then it will show. It also helps you to be more successful since people will sense your enthusiasm and it will come out more naturally and not as rehearsed.
I was with3 other DS companies before The Body Shop at Home and I did not do quite so well. Now I am having fun, loving my income, loving my team and my job. I think it is because I believe more in the products and the passion I have for the company really shows! I am much more successful and putting less effort into it than when I was with the other companies.

Make sure this is something that you really want to do. I know how it is not have full support from your family and friends. My husband did not support the other 3 businesses, but loves the fact that I am in this. I even give him enthusiasm, excitement and passion about his business from just talking about mine. Some of my friends were like, "Oh no, not another one," but you have to overlook the negativity.

I am not with Tupperware, but LOVE the products!!!! I think your upline will also have to be someone you mesh with and shares your same enthusiasm. I have talked to Leigh about Tupperware many times via email and she has been more than helpful! She is so nice and really has an enthusiasm for Tupperware.

Good Luck! I hope all goes well with whatever you decide. :)

I think you need to first have a passion for what you sell! If you are excited about Tupperware then be confident and excited when talking to your family and friends and let them know you can't wait to get started!
I would hold an open house- invite EVERYONE you know PLUS make sure to invite your neighbors.

Then I would ASK everyone I know if they want to host a show for me. Be sure to let them know they would be helping you out BUT mostly they willget FREE stuff!

I would also attend a few ladies nite outs, vendor events etc. These are great places to find new customers and book parties.

Make sure you share with EVERYONE you meet that you represent Tupperware.

Make sure that this is what you want. Do you LOVE the products? The Company? Do you have a passion for it? It truly comes across!

Talk to your upline- make sure they are 100% committed- this could be a big help! If not, talk to someone like Leigh to get you motivated!

Good Luck!
Nicole

I have been with 3 other companies, the first one I loved but family issues caused me to leave, it was Homemade Gourmet and I love that company, always will! The second company, I was so pumped up and then reality set in and I saw the real story and that totally turned me off.

Tupperware is just fun! I never thought I could have this much fun and make money at the same time. Like I said before, I signed up for the discount because I wanted the Modular Mates at a discount and told friends and family that I signed up. Before I knew it I sold $400 worth of Tupper! Then the new catalog came out, new products, I won a few contests, did a couple craft shows and had a great response and thought this might just work for me and I love it! I was having a great time! I love to talk to people and having a degree in acting helps! lol! I don't do home parties, I just do catalog parties, I will do a home party if I'm asked but I don't seek them out.

I guess all this rambling is to say, you never know how you will be blessed until you dive right in! I have a wonderful team and upline and we have about 60 or so on our big team and a very active yahoo group! Tupper is not a perfect company and does have it's problems, but I gaurantee you, on our team you will get some of the best training and support around!!

have a great weekend and blessings to all!!!
