Well I'm looking into alotta companies, it's so stressful, but I hear Mia Bella has good income potential. I may have chatted with some of you before. My hubby works 12 to 14 hr days in the oil industry and its very dangerous so as unrealistic as it may sound I'm looking for a way I can work towards replacing his income of 4000 a month, I am willing to work hard to make it happen, I just gotta know I'm with a company that I feel it's a real possibility to do that with.

Anyways.... I dont drive and I know candles have to be delivered that's why I never signed up with Mia bella before. I was just wandering if anyone does the biz strictly online or if you can be just as successful online and not doing parties, funraiser and such. Thnks girls for the help.

Hi Tims mommy,
I don't drive either but that doesn't stop me! LOL Seriously there are many reps who have built their business online and we have many wonderful associates across the country and Canada.

If someone orders from your corporate site the company ships for you. You can also have an order drop shipped to another address. I also have sent orders via the post office since I don't drive.

You have many different ways to work your business. You can choose what is best for you.

Good luck with your research! Hope to welcome you to our Miabella family soon!

Hello Shyleen,

No dreams are unrealistic! If you dream it, it can happen!

It is possible to eventually achieve a income to bring your husband home. Many Moms in thecompany have already 'retired' theirhusbands to comehome and work the candle biz with them. But as with all businesses in this industry it will take devotion, personal drive and time to make it happen.

Most important is to find a company that lights your 'fire' within! You can be successful with this business 100% online. If you were not selling or fundraising, that leaves team building and a residual income. The internet is a GREAT tool for team building! You also can market your web store for sales across the country as well, but team building would be your primary!

The question is, do you have it IN you andWANT it so bad you can make it happen?!?! If the answer is yes, then let's get you started!

I'm still a little confused as to how the customers get the candles shipped to their door instaed of mine.

Candlemama

Hi There! I think we've chatted before!
A customer can go to your company website, and there is an online store located there. They can order any product they'd like and the company will process and ship the order straight to them. You don't have to lift a finger, and youget a commission!

I also have a woman who is pretty much housebound, and she has decided to focus on fundraisers because the product, again, can be drop shipped right to the organization!

Where there is a will, there is a way. You CAN do it. Half the battle is believin that you can.

Hi Timsmommy!

You don't have to do any parties!

If you choose to work with Mia Bella, you can basically build this anyway you choose to that works for you!

how does that lady do fundraisers from home?
sorry I have so many ?'s, lol

I dont really have the money to purchase the sent sample kit though, its probably imortant to have that right?

Candlemama

Questions are good. It means you're processing, brainstorming, and really thinking it through.

Most of my fundraisers are across the country. I work with the organizations to find their financial needs, how many are participating, and what products they want to work with.

I send them theforms, they collect orders and $. They take their share out of the funds, and send me the rest along with the orders.

I place the order, and have the product shipped directly to the organization. Then they distribute the candles.

Voila! We have extensive training on all aspects of our busines, Shyleen. Live training calls, recorded training calls, forms, training documents, etc.

Plus, I don't have to explain a candle to anyone! Yes, ours are definately better than any that I have come across, but it's still a candle. That's the best part. I don't have to be an expert! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif

In regards to the Scent Sample bag. It is a HUGE marketing tool. Huge. However, the most important thing in starting out is just starting! Do something, whether it's just committing to the candle of the month, or purchasing the Fast Start Pack, as long as you are in action, that is a huge place to start.

You can always start making money with the COTM, and then save up to purchase the Fast Start Pack. Edited by: Candlemama

Timsmommy
07-03-2007, 01:22 PM
How would you start making money with just the COTM? I mean I guess you could try and sell that first candle you get.
and I was wandering how much the sent sample bag is?

Candlemama
07-03-2007, 01:33 PM
Well, one of the easiest ways is to go into your back office and send out the Candle of the Month Mailer to EVERYone you know. Ask them to pass it along as well. You can let people know that you are involved with Mia Bella's, offer them scent samples and go from there.

The scent sample bag on it's own is basically $200, so the Fast Start pack is a screamin' deal.

I've had distributors sell candles before even getting them! lol..

This is just my opinion, since you just starting, you should think of what you are going to do: fundraising, retailing, consign, etc. If you are working the business online, why would you need the Sample Pack? If you are doing fudnraisers, why would you need a Sample Pack? What I am saying is before you spend ANY money, find out what you are going to do, this way you are not left wondering why you spent $200 on flyers and didn't even get "around" to doing that house party.

Get what I am saying? I don't think you need the sample pack unless you are doing retail and house parties and such, other then that I think you can just use your COTM, for now anyway.

I know a lady who never sold a candle till she was earning several thousand dollars per month! All she did was get on the COTM and tell a few of her online friends about it. They built their business and the lady got paid on others efforts while she struggled to build a different business. Finally her Scent-Sations check was more than double her struggling check and her hubby told her she had better take this little candle company seriously!

Can you start with the COTM? Yes
Can you share it with others without a big investment? Yes
Do you know anyone who loves to burn scented candles?smileys/smiley4.gif

You guys are right, I have to start some where and this is the only place I can start right now so COTM will have to do and I'll do my best with it.

One more thing I'm curiouse about, I kow when you get started you're suppose to talk with friends and family but what if you reall dont have any, where do you go to find people?

I literally dont have family, grew up in a foster home and never looked back. Hubby's family are all snooty and think I'm stupid for doing this so they wont listen to anything I have to say, don't really have alotta friends either, just a couple.

I'm only 20, had my son when I was 16, moved in with hubby at 18 and lost all of my friends because I'm a stay at home mom and they are doing different things with their lives.

So just curiouse how to start.

There is a GREAT recorded call in the back office called 'the reluctant husband'. It's awesome.
My hubby wasn't supportive either until he saw my commission checks and how much I was bringing in retail wise.

Wanna know the best thing about this business? It doesn't matter what your past is, how young you were when you had your first child, your life experiences, education, etc.

What matters is your heart, your determination to reach your goals and dreams, and the passion you have to create a better life for yourself and for those around you.

You CAN do this, Shyleen. Don't ever let anyone steal that dream of being someone bigger than you already are.

Just so you know, I went diamond before I sold ONE candle. It can be done, friend. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

My heart really goes out to you. At one time, my hubby, God bless him was very much like that but he's turned around when he saw the checks getting bigger and he could see that I was happy.

None of us can you tell you what you should do. All we can do is tell you what we can offer and offer our heartfelt support too. The rest when it comes to personal matters with spouses is just that.. personal. I sure do hope he comes around. He doesnt know what he's missing and whatthis business could dofor you, him and your family.

Timsmommy,
Amazingly enough, when I chose to get OUT of Corporate Americahttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley11.gif, my DH, family, friends didn't judge me. They never said anything negative.

I was determined to find a way to create FREEDOM and I did it and am doing it.

I also didn't ask for their approval. It was my decision and actions.

It has to start with you and you have to carry it out.

Once you make your decision, regardless of what anyone says, when you do the work on yourself and your business, nothing will stop you.

In addition to our products, I'm sure you can see from this board that the very nicest thing about Mia Bella is the support you get from other distributors. We're all committed to each other's success, as is management. You can ask the owners questions just like you have here and get direct answers from them as well. New marketing ideas from other distributors are popping up continually. It's awesome.

Another thing about fundraisers... if you send labels with your contact information to the company, they will put your information on the products before they drop ship them to the organization for you. That way people who buy candles from the organization can find you when they get to their wick's end and you get the reorders.

We're all here to lend our support and help should you decide to join us!

Hey, are we twins? I am 19 and married, but I am doing this! Sometimes it is hard because I don't have a lot of family either. But I do what I can and use what I can to get it done. You do what works for you! You can do this, you just have to make sure it is right for you. Research everything and don't rush to jump in, research and read up and get on the calls (I am so guilty of not doing this!) but the more you know the better equipped you will be!

Hello Shyleen :) I am 19 as well.
My fiance is currently working 86 hours a week (sometimes 19-20 hour days 4 days in a row) </font>trying to support is and
we still can't get ahead. It is really burning him out as well, and I
am worried. My goal is to reach around $3-4000 per month to be able
to move from this crazy city, and be able to have my fiance home to
build this business together. And it is definitely possible. The
product, the tools, the support, everything, is top notch. I love the different ways to work the business, as I am not a
home party person at all. I love the idea of fundraising and retail,
and the prospect of a residual income through team building.

I don't drive either, however what my fiance and I would do is set
aside one day per week (ie, Saturday) and do any deliveries then. As we
are in Canada, we don't have the convenience for local customers to
shop online. However, I also have some new prospective customers
(online friends) that absolutely fell in love with our Bella Bars, and
can order online and I know they will arrive in a timely manner, as
opposed to being shipped to me, then reshipped to the US. Love that
feature.

Shyleen,
I can relate to the working crazy hours and sleep deprivation! ( I work the graveyard shift at the post office).

You should not discount having parties or even an open house if you decide to join. Some people may ask if you do parties and that is a good way to retail your product and gain customers and potential business partners. Of course that is your choice whether you want to do them or not. I never did a party till I joined and I find that it is a great way to get the product out there! It's also a great way to meet new people and network.

I also started to do an online party once a week and I have met some wonderful people. They love our products and you never know when you will recieve a referral from a happy customer.

Of course the great thing about this company is that you can build your business in many different ways! I would highly suggest getting on a conference call if you can. We have some great leaders who host the calls and they give us a wealth of information and training!
