Hi Everyone! I hope you are all having a great day. I had a question about pricing votives. I know we really want to promote the jar candles, but I have seen where others sell the votives in sets of six. How much do you sell them for? And if someone might want to just buy one, how much? I am just trying to anticipate what might happen. Also, how do you package them? Is there a resource I am not aware of where you can purchase gift boxes for them? Thanks for your time! Hi Lesly,

I actually sell both jars and votives. I learned not to limit myself to just the jars. Some people prefer to test out scents before buying the jars if that do at all. So it is good that you are keeping your options open.

Anyway, here is my price list for votives. I actually have 2 but this is the one I use the most.

Votives: $3 ea ~4/ $10 ~ 12/ $25

Many Blessings,

Hi, Lesly! I decided to sell in sets of 6 because that way I am not ordering too many doz votives just to get 1 votive for someone smileys/smiley2.gif. Perhaps when I build up an inventory I can offer that. I am also waiting for the "mixed votive" option online ordering that is currently not available. Does anyone know when this will be up? Also, I keep my votive boxes and give those to themor wrap them up in tissue- have not bought gift boxes, but that is a good idea. I am surrounded with Partylite candle lovers so I sell mine a bit cheaper than sugg retail just to compete. I sell 6 for $15 or 1 doz for $28. Idon't sell many votives - mostly jar candles. (I hope we get a smaller jar option soon -everyone asks for them.)

You will know what to price them at when you get some experience with your market - what price sells - what doesn't. Each area is different.

Good luck!Edited by: Soy Candle Gal

Hi Lesly,
My pricing on the votives is the same as Debra's. I only sell the six or all 12 too because it does cut down on a lot of single votives left. I use the small cello bags and put a piece of cardboard in the bottom of the clear bag and sit 4 votives on the bottom and then two on top of that to get the 6. Then I tie it up with curling ribbon and put a label on the front of the bag with thescent name on there and a label with my info on the bottom so they know who to contact in case it was given as agiftand everyone comments on how cute they look like this. I only do this for pre orders, not at a show or a home party cause I don't sell mine there. When they call me and order or come to my home to shop that is how I package mine. I hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for all your help. Go MiaBella!!! I sold all my votives today!!!! I was so excited though, I sold them for too little. Live and learn, right? But, the lady who bought them said that her daughter's dance class (200 member co) would probably want to do a fundraiser!! So, all is not lost. This truly is a smell and sell product. Everyone just gushes over the sample packs. I am so excited!!! Thanks again. Leslysmileys/smiley32.gif
