I have what looks like air pockets on the jars after I pour the wax. Can someone tell what I am doing wrong. Do I need it to cool a little? I heat the jars before I pour so not sure if this is common or not.

Thanks

Kim

Some people do heat their jars I only do that if the room is cool I don't pour until temp is around 100 and I dont have problems that way Good luck http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

What type of wax are you using? We never really have problems with this either, but we use soy.

I don't warm my jars either, but the last batch of jars I purchased had some kind of residue in them so I just put a little rubbing alcohol in the jar and wiped it out and that seemed to work.

I only heat my jars if they feel cold and then wipe them out because I then tend to get moisture in them. Since doing this I haven't gotten air pockets.

I always wash/dry my jars before I use them since residue does build up inside them. Make sure your temp is the reccommended temp to pour by manufacturer and in colder weather I always warm my jars either with a hot air gun or put the jars in oven on lowest temp. Sometimes tapping on the sides of jars can help release air bubbles/pockets. It's mostly trial and error until YOU figure out what works best for you. Ginger
