View Full Version : A Biz You Can Work Online??

Does anyone work this strictly as an online biz? I am considering becoming a consultant and as previously mentioned on other posts, do not have a warm market that I can count on. I'm wondering what my success rate would be to do this as an online biz with website and purchasing leads...I'm assuming Arbonne has leads you can purchase??

Any input is helpful.

Thanks!

I haven't heard of anyone who works this strictly as an online business.

For some people their warm market isn't all that supportive so they have to find other ways of getting started.

I do have a website but for the most part, even though I have had several hits, it is used more as a catalog by family and friends who don't live close to me. This workswell because then I don't have to mail them all catalogs ~ they can see everything on line. And they usually end up calling me to register them or place their order.

As far as leads ~ maybe someone else has info on that!

I do a lot online.. I don't by leads.. I only need four people and to teach those four to find four. If I have 30 people I can never focus enough on them to teach them what to do. Then if they fail it is because i wasn't there to help them.

Just my thoughts.

Kim makes an excellent point. If you are using the Consumer Network system you don't need a lot of people. In that system we aren't trying to sell to the world. Instead we are focusing on finding 4 serious business builders to teach their 4 & so on & so on. The principle of multiplication is used here. You end up with a lot more people on your team, using the products, then you ever would have by strictly selling. Yet, all you really did was find 4.

In my opinion you can use the Internet as another tool in Arbonne but not the only tool. I agree with Lori about having a website. I get a lot of hits as well but not a lot of biz builders. (Though I have gotten some that way) You have to be careful b/c Arbonne does have an Internet policy.

I have never bought leads so I have no opinion of those. Arbonne does not provide leads to purchase. They do have a referral system that they use if people contact them directly instead of a consultant. You have to have a website to be able to get a referral from them.

So, yes you can use the internet but, IMHO, if you use it & nothing else you are going to go a lot slower. A lot of people who have been sucessful in Arbonne start out without a warm market they can count on. It can be done without one. Your upline will help you. You shouldn't let that stop you for going for your dreams. smileys/smiley1.gif

Just curious, does the MI in your sig stand for Michigan? I have family & I biz builder (who I got over the net) in Michigan. The great thing about being there is that it is wide open. According to the demo map Arbonne provides us there isn't a ton of people working the business there. Lots of potential for you. Edited by: Soonergirl74

Yes I am in Michigan near Ann Arbor. I know that I've heard of Arbonne from only one person in my area and she does not actively pursue it. She uses it for her own discounts. I'm not sure if this is good or bad that the knowledge of the products are so slim.

Thank you for the information, I appreciate everyone's input.

As mentioned, there are benefits to having an Arbonne website, however, I believe people have greater success working with people they get to know, like & trust.

Arbonne's President Rita Davenport has said "this is a belly-to-belly business"

Happy to answer anything that will help you feel comfortable with your decision!

That's too bad that she doesn't pursue it. I have checked out Arbonne Opportunities in that area for my BB & there are some that go on. That is great b/c it means that there is some support there.

You can go both ways about it being good or bad that the knowledge is slim. I always prefer to outweigh the negatives with the positives. Like I've said in some other posts, I am in Oklahoma & there are a lot of people who know about Arbonne here & I see the positives in that. However, when I signed up it was really just kind of beginning here & it seemed to change within just a year. I saw first hand how just a few people made that happen. So the potential to do that in other states is very clear to me as well.

It's all in what you decide to make it. smileys/smiley1.gif
