There's no cost :)
One thing to know though, I'm pretty sure it'll keep people feeling
less "sold" to if the links are not directly to the corporate sites. Do
you have a personal site? or maybe you could throw a blog together or
something?
Wanting this to be a place with lots of good information, links to people's personal sites will carry on this intention.
Also, I think that all companies can peacefully co-exist better if we market ourselves first ... make sense?
