I signed up last night, and I don't think I can wait for the first part of my kit to arrive. I'm so nervous to start doing spa's. How am I going to know what to say? I'm sure the first few will just be with friends anyway.
I'm super bummed that I don't have the finances to purchase the 48 hour special, I don't think I'll have the money by training either so unless I can get 4 people to sign up I'll never get the big discount, it's going to suck! I really want to take advantage of it too.

Ah well, time to brainstorm party ideas and memorize all the products and info. My director gets her car in about a month, so people in this town must love the stuff! I hope there's enough left for me.

Do any of you provide face cloths and hand towels at the spa's or do you get the girls to bring their own?

Do you have any special little tricks or ideas for the parties that make it extra special?

What's the general format of your parties? What do you do, how do you set up, what treatments, what's the layout?
[/list]

You thought I had so many questions before! Now I need to know everything!! (Well that's no different than how I normally am, lol).

First of all - CONGRATULATIONS!! How exciting!!!! You are in for the best ride of your life. Second, take a deep breath and relax. You will be getting information soon with a set of flipcards to use during the spa that will show you basically what to say and do. I believe that there is a CD that also comes at some point that will show you a simple spa, too. I started out doing a pretty simple spa, but like everyone else, have added things over time. Don't overwhelm yourself with thinking of too many things. Just have some fun sharing what you enjoy about the products. No one expects you to be perfect. If you are too "perfect" others won't think that they can do what you do, and we certainly don't want that. We want them to join us, too. Just be yourself. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif
You also have the best help available right here on this board. Just ask questions, and you will get lots of ideas.

Again, Congratulations! When do you go to BeautU? Some gals have invited friends over when they get the first half of their kit to have a Pop the Top party to share the products. They then take orders, bookings, etc. and they can place the orders at BeautiU. There are even coupons available that have been mentioned on other threads to offer savings to their friends while gathering enough orders to get the great discount at Beauti U. Just a thought. . . .

Have a Beauti-Full Day!

I would definately invite your friends over when you open your case...that way you don't need tro know what to say...they can just play with everything...then you can take orders from them...after that carry around some products that you can show off to anyone you run into...try to get enough pre-orders to make the big BeautiU order so you can get that discount for the first few months...as far as the spas go, keep it simple the first few times and stick to the flip cards you will get(use them in front of them because it shows they can do this too!) and after a few spas you can decide if you want to add anything

Congradulations!!!! Welcome New Spa Sister!!! Here's a few tips from my end........ If you haven't already; schedule a Spa for yourself and invite friends and family. This will help you get the extra income for your BIG DISCOUNT @ Training. I have a set of BIG FUZZY DICE. I use these to get bookings at the end of my Spas. Of course the largest number on the dice is 6. So at the end of the Spa; I ask, who would like to roll my big fuzzy dice. You'll get alot of response, because there so cute. Say they roll two 6's....that equals 12 (which is the highest roll possible), then I times (x) it by 3....which is 36. I have the guest that rolled that amount to write that # in the corner of their order form. I then continue with the other guests and so on. When they sit with me at the table to total their order, if there is a number in the corner of their order form, I explain to them that the # 36 (or what ever number they rolled(x) 3)represents the amount of extra FREE Merchandice they will recieve if they book a party with me tonight. Remember they have to book that night to recieve it. Always keep your calender available at all times. Good Luck and God Bless You.

I don't know if your recruiter told you this, but....go out and sell the product right now! If you have people place $225 in orders you then get $275 in product free! You have to do this within the 48 hour time frame, or you could do it for when you go to BU. (At which time the $ amount changes for minimum order) Just know that this is a great way to build up your inventory and have product on hand! Get a catalog and get to showing!

I made the mistake of not taking advantage of the 48 hour special or the beauti u training, because I thought my husband would get madhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif Then when I got home from trainig and showed him the empowering women mag he asked why I did not purchase thenhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif I should have discussed this more... My point DON'T MISS OUT ON THE GREAT OPPORTUNITY!!!!! I then spent more $$$ than it would have cost at either of these. I hope you can find away, I'm still kicking myself.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley29.gif

Thanks everyone for the input and ideas. I just signed up last night, so I can't access beautinet yet, and I'm just to eager to wait. I'm sure I will be spending a few days there when I get all my info though. I'm loving the ideas and information on this forum, it's wonderful.

BeautiWorld, how did you sign up? If your recruiter entered your info, then he/she should have your consultant number. If you have that and the last 4 of your soc sec number, you should be able to log in that way, providing you are in the US. I think someone from Canada said they couldn't log in that way but I can't remember for sure.

Hi Shawn,
I believe I was the one that posted that info...as a Canadian, we can not enterthe last 4 digits of our social insurance number to get our number. It is so stupid. They don't even ask for our SIN number when we sign up. The only way I have been able to get the number without calling BC and pretending I am the new consultant is when you are signing them up, there is a spot near the top of the page that says place order or something like that....so if you click on there, it logs you out, and logs in as the new consultant and then you can go edit your information and that is where you can see the password and change it to another number...hope that made sense...

Welcome to BC!!

My advice would be keep it simple, start with doing your spa like the flip cards outline (they will be with your beauticase when you get your order). Then customize it to what you like. Start out by inviting a few close friends/family over to spa and help you get started. That way you can practice in your own home and get comfortable with it.

To get into BeautiNet you can call the consultant care centre and give them your name, they can provide you with your Consultant ID and PIN # so you can log in. You can read the consultant guide online too if you're eager to review it before you get your shipment.

Just a tip, but I find the American help line MUCH more friendly to deal with! Their number is: 1 800 872 5520 and they usually have a great southern accent! (I love that!!!)I always call them instead of the Canadian number. Good luck with everything!!! If you ever need any help, just let us know!

Thanks. I'll try calling that number today! You know I'm already starting to get upset at the difference between beauticontrol in Canada and the States. I have an old Catalogue, but I'm sure there are still things we can't get in Canada and I want to try them. Also, I'm having a hard time finding stuff like set sheets with Canadian prices on it.

you can probably find all those answers on this board...BC is still fairly new in Canada so it may take some time to catch up, but with the continued success of Canadian consultants, progress will be made...If there is anything you need just ask...there are lots of canadian consultants on these boards and they are all facing those same issues, so you can all help each other out...and those of us stateside will help whenever possible...don't be discouraged....

Hi,
I've sent you some Canadian set sheets along with the proceedures you asked for in another post. The differences between Canada and the USisn't that bad, but it can be a little frustrating at times, I agree. My director was saying it was less than 2 years ago that Canadians could order on line, so things have really progressed, and as soon as we are compliant in Quebec, I'm sure a lot of the barriers will be gone. There really is only a few products we can't get here in Canada, due to different laws concerning ingredients, etc. Feel free to ask for help and we'll do our best - there is a huge amount of support and information and enthusiasm on this board. Also, you can PM me any time. I'm in Kamloops BC and we have quite a few consultants here, and, I find, lots of Canadian resources.

Good luck - you have so much enthusiasm and that is your best asset!!

Just a mention. On beautinet you can download the flip cards while you wait for your laminated ones! Good Luck to you.

You should have your ID...I think this has already been mentioned...from when you signed up go to the sign in page put in your number and click you forgot your password...then follow the instructions...in the states you have to put in part of your social security number to identify yourself. Let us know if you can get online.

Thanks everyone. I'm trying really hard to keep up my enthusiasm with this. I've already got 3 girls interested in hosting spas once I'm done my training. I'm just upset about being Canadian with this because I can't get the stuff that "I" want to try, lol. And that it makes it MUCH more difficult to get into beautinet before your kit arrives. I don't think they are still open today so I'll try calling BC tomorrow, see if they can hook me up and get me into beautinet.
I have an old catalogue so I'm not sure, what exactly is still unavailable in Canada, product wise?
Protective Sevices?
half the All Clear Line?
Skin lightening complex?
Just curious

I love that everyone on here is so informative and helpful
You ladies are all wonderful!

You should have a free page for a limited time. That you set up when you signed up. You can go on there and see the items. It won't show the consultant specials but you can see the products.

If you didn't get a page...feel free to go to mine.

www.beautipage.com/vdavis (http://www.beautipage.com/vdavis)

have fun browsing. I'm in Alabama but at least you can look around!

Anything with a * beside it is not available in Canada. It is alittle frusterating but lately anything new is available in both. I've been told some of it is due to naming and others are ingredients. Mostly the All Clear line (besides the MRP) and sun care aren't available.
We are working on getting a team canada website similar to the directors sites we all have found and use from this board.

I have lots of info that I've converted to cdn prices if you'd like copies, just send me your email.

Keep in mind that BC just became big in Canada a few years ago, Cindy Koleba (our Gramma at 31..hehe) didn't even start working the business until 2001 and she was the key person to get things going here. We just had a meeting in Calgary with probably around 50-60 consultants or more and a year ago Cindy said she'd only dreamed of that kind of turn out. The marketpotential here is huge and it isn't saturated like a lot of companies.

It's not too hard to get into BeautiNet but I think with the holiday the office has been closed for a few days. Usually you can call and get your pin # rightaway.

Hope that helps.

Jaclyn
