Hey all, first of all, I'm new to the forums and I just want to say that you guys are great! I keep reading posts of how I feel and what I've been going through too, so I know it's not just me!!
How many of you are trying to promote and to what level? What kind of things are you guys facing and how are you dealing with it? Just thought I'd try and get some insight as to what I may be lacking with my business and maybe what I can be doing to make it better. I just finished qualification for DM yesterday and am trying to push up my few business builders, but some of them don't want to be pushed, even though they're so close! They say promoting to District is the hardest, and I want to be able to help my team with this first step. Any ideas would be great!! Thanks and take care!!

Hey - how long did it take you to promote to DM? I started in late Aug & wanted to promote so bad this month! I will have to finish in Oct. I was just now figuring out what I had to do to get there!!! The extra 2500 if you do it in three is really a bummer! What did you do to get there & how long did it take you?
I'm having trouble getting the business bldrs. The ones I thought for sure would do it have absolutely NO interest! I know it takes a ltttle time, but trying to get the $7500 on my own is tough!
Your thoughts????

Getting to District by yourself is very hard. Then it is difficult to maintain by yourself. I would start by offering products and then the biz. I am trying to get at least half way to are in October and really push myself forward. I was $270 short last night and my husband went out and got me $300 worth of orders (love him alot today:))
Good luck

I actually signed up in late April.. as a wholesale buyer. I went to a training at the end of July with our NVP Stacy Thorn and she really inspired me to give a real effort to the business. So I started in August. They say that DM is the hardest because you do almost feel like your doing it yourself since your just getting started. I signed up 3 people who said they were interested in the business, and only one actually stuck with me. So we kind of did it together. We held presentations together while doing the REsults approach. I think you need to find a partner and do it together, that really helped me. It helps when you have someone elses support and you can push each other. Maybe a best friend or sister or in-laws? We were hoping she would finish 1st step this month, but todays the last day so I don't know. With all the help she has given me, I am focusing on her qualification next month as well as trying to find the business builders, which is kind of hard. What I didin the beginning too was offering discounts to get the clients to at least try the products. Like 15% offfirst time buyers,or 15% offcomplete set purchases or things like that. Hope this helps and good luck! Let me know what you think. Once it starts to pick up, you'll do great! smileys/smiley2.gif

I am really motivated today... I am busily pushing myself to fill up my calendar for the rest of the year. I am trying to use the results approach in October at least 8 times. The holiday line is so great. I also have a recruitment fair coming up which is free at the local college. I have 2 holiday bazaars in November already booked. Both of these are new for me - but I am trying to focus on the activity and not the results. Sometimes it takes 6 mths for something you market to come back to you. Our group goal is to get at least 1 prospect on our biz opp call on Sunday. Group goals and district goals are good too!!!
Good luck everybody

I agree about finding people to work with. My entire team is amazing but I have a team of myself and two others that have been working hard together to meet our goals. It is great to have others to motivate you and keep you focused. Good luck and remember that all this hard work will definitely pay off!
