Well Ladies, in about an hour I'm leaving to set up for my first-ever mall expo. It's a bridal expo at the largest mall in our area. I've done expos, but this is my first in the mall. I have no idea what to expect! Wish me luck!

Well, I'm back. Both of us who did the expo this weekend are very pleased with the immediate result. Of course, now we head into follow-up mode. It will really be a good two weeks or so before we know just how well we did from this. I only need two strong shows to cover our costs, and I don't think that will be a problem. And our team is about to grow by about four more people!

Lauren,

Of course, the show wasn't as "HUGE" as the hostess made it out to be. She was planning on 40 there. There were ONLY 22. That's a tie for the biggest show I've done. But I could tell the hostess was feeling a little let down. She really wanted to get 20 more people there. I did my best to cheer her up. She thought she'd need 40 people to get up to $750 in sales. Well, with her 22 guests, and 6 of them not even placing their orders yet, her sales are at $891 with 2 bookings. When she saw how easy it would be to get to $1000, her face just lit up. She planned what she'd get with her hostess credit based on a $750 show, so now she's ready to rock and roll.

And, I got a new HomeStyle Specialist! A young woman there is all set and ready to start her business! How great is that?!
