I hope I don't offend anyone with my adoption story.
I once adopted the cutest little feral kitty from a feral feline adoption rescue society. She was a cute little tiger-very spunky. Then 6 weeks later she came down with a nasty fever and almost died. We spent so much money on Kiki's (hawaiian for child) medical care. She pulled through. Two years later she came down with another mystery illness and we sunk $5,000 into her medical care. (More than 11 kits combined I think) She eventually diedhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gifhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gifhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley11.gif

I am a big animal lover. How about you? Have any of you ever adopted a pet?http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley10.gif

YES!We are big believers in animal rescue. Our first pet was an English Mastiff-we didnt' go the rescue route with him but he was an adult dog that his breeder had considered showing.

Our current dog is Ace. He is a black lab and the biggest goofball.

We are planning another animal adoption soon!

Did you know that black dogs are the most often put down at kill shelters???SAVE A LIFE- ADOPT A DOG.
