Hi, everyone :) I'm new to these boards, so I'm sorry if this has been asked before.
I've been thinking of joining up with petra fashions, but it would be
nice to hear from others who have or are currently working with them.
I'm just wondering how much support do they give? What's it like whe
you first start out? How much money can be made per party/perweek/peer
month? Sorry if thats a lot of of questions, I just want to be 100
percent sure before I join. Thanks.

Hi there! I am the Director of the Blessings of Elegance Branch of Petra. I have been with them since the end of June '04. I was blessed with from the beginning with this company. From the get go I was selling over $2000 per month and earning that monthly bonus of at least $100 and at least $500 in profit off the parties. Most of the time I was selling around $4000 a month. I was doing parties 3 nights a week and once or twice I had4 or5 parties in a week. So I wasn't working too terribly much. What was such a blessing was the fact that my party sales were high.
I love Petra because of the simplicity of it. When I started researching Petra the following things are what I thought about. I watched my sister in law with another plan set up til after midnight sorting merchandise that had been delivered to her and then have to pack it all back up into her car and spend two days chasing people around to deliver it all over the place. Since I have a small son at home, that was out of the question for me. Another thing I knew I did not want to have to deal with was carrying inventory. I'm not one to want to sit there and try and guess what kind of mood people are going to be in at any particular time and put out tons of money and then that not be what's bought. Then I'd be stuck with having to get rid of stuff at what I paid for it or less. The next thing I didn't want was to have to wait to be paid. Another thing was paperwork. I didn't want to have to fill out complicated forms and send tons of money through the mail or have delivery times lengthened because of paperwork. With Petra it's all done online, huge time saver. I didn't want to have to pay for Hostess benefits out of my profit or any guest specials. Oh, and I sure did not want to have to lug tons of merchandise in and out of parties. All I have with Petra is a tool box that I've adapted into my order board, game books, party books, party binder carrier and my garment bag and garment rack. Takes me about 5 minutes to set up and tear down.
Petra took care of all these things for me so that's why I went for it. The Lord has blessed my business and I haven't looked back since. The cool thing is that it's easier now than it's ever been to get into Petra because they literally give you the opportunity to test drive the job. When you get in and earn your kit for free, you've made good money along the way and not been out any money. That's very important for women needing an income. Then, after you've done that, if you decide that you'd rather do something else you can, without going in the hole. Of course, I don't know why anyone would want to leave this great company, but I'm just trying to show why it's worth a try.
I know the bottom line for everyone is money. The one thing I can tell you is this. If you have some dependable ladies that are willing to help you get your business off the ground and are willing to host a party the way a party is supposed to be hosted, you'll have no trouble at all. I can trace 99% of all of my parties in this past year (over 100) directly back to my first 6 Hostesses. That's a pretty good indicator of job security I think. You asked about averages, all I can give you is my personal averages so here goes: per party-over $125 clear profit, per week-over $250 clear profit, per month-it changes because I am a Director earning overrides on my sales and my entire branch sales but I'd say on average with that, my monthly bonuses and my show profits I'm making around $1700 or more a month.

Oh, you asked about support too, sorry about that! Petra is wonderful, first off you have your Director that you are in touch with ona weekly basis or more if you need her. She trains you and keeps up with ongoing training. On top of that, Petra has weekly conference calls for anyone wishing to attend for motivation and tips and ideas from other Consultants. Petra has a top notch Customer Service Department that will bend over backwards to help you out. Trust me, they've done an amazing job helping me out with some really really rude, stubborn people. The kind that anything you do will not satisfy them. I've only dealt with this a couple times but they are out there and they will attempt to make your life miserable because they are miserable themselves. Anyway, enough of that, LOL. Thank God that's only happened twice and it was their mistakes, not Petra. They wrote the wrong things on the order forms. Petra could have said,"they messed up Krystal, we don't have to do anything for them" but they didn't. They took care of it and I was out nothing. To me, that's an amazing Customer Service Dept!!! Basically, no matter what your situation, you're going to have all the support you could ever wish for.
Ok, I'm done rambling, LOL. Once again, take care and God Bless!!!
