Hey everyone! I contacted a beautiful bed and breakfast in town, and the owner said he was interested in looking at my products to put in guest bathrooms and use in baskets!!! Any suggestions?? Has anyone done this? I love Arbonne!

Wow! What a great idea. There are a lot of bed and
breakfasts around where I live! How did you approach them with
the idea?

I just called! I told the owner I was an Independent Consultant for a prestigous Swiss skincare company and I would love to put together a basket for sampling of products he could place in the guestrooms or put in pampering packages. He said yes! So, now I am just trying to figure out my strategy. I want to set him up as a wholesaler, so he could either sell the products retail once the customers come to him begging for where he got them, or give them a wholesale account. So I want to really impress him right away, but I am sure the products will do that themselves!

That's great. What kind of products were you thinking of putting in? Full size?

That is what I am trying to decide. I am going to bring the Sea Salt Scrub, Unwind massage gel and bath salts, and our lotions. I will also give him the mens RE9 for personal use. I want to have purchasing ideas already together to show him. Say he puts a sea salt scrub in every room. Would he want to reuse the same scrub? Probably not. Do they sell the sea salt scrub in the packs of 3 year round?? I think this is a great opportunity so I really want to present well.

What about your shampoo and conditioner? Does Arbonne still have those
two products? Those would be great for a bed and breakfast.

I will definetly bring them up. I am just hesitant b/c of the size of the bottles and the price.
I think what I will do is have him test the sea salt scrub and body and herbal foot lotion. I don't want to overwhelm him and the products sell themselves. Then if he is interested, he could use his RSVP to purchase a bunch of the 3/5 pack sizes of scrubs, lotions, gels from the holiday line and put these in all the rooms. Then, when the customer comes to him wanting to know where he got these fabulous products, he could either sell them retail and have them sent to the customers home, or set them up with a wholesale account. Of course, this will be up to the owner of the b&b, but I will definetly talk to him about the business side. This is so exciting! You need to do this!

I would definitely do the sample packs. The 3 packs are only available during the holidays. I know some B&B's do special packages and include flowers, chocolates, etc... what about if he does special packages he could include some aromatherapy? You'll have to research if he has such packages or not, which I'm sure you already have...

Oh yes!! What I am "envisioning" happening is the customers have these great products in their room, so they ask the owner where he got these. He can either sell them retail, or hopefully see the potential in offering the wholesale account, sign them up before they check out, and have the products delivered to their home. I am working right now on the best approach to offer him for his RSVP to get the most product.
Does anyone know of a link that I could get Arbonne letterhead?Edited by: bbrown1226

I remember that the shampoo and conditioner were big, but what about
the sample duos? You know how in the bathrooms of hotels they
always have small sizes or packets of shampoo, lotion etc. What
if he used the sample size for the rooms. The sample
shampoo/conditioner and a small aromassentials lotion and shower gel
(do they have those this year?), herbal foot care etc in a little
ceramic container or basket for the guests rooms and then he could
display full size somewhere else in the B and B. Or just catalogs with
his web address or something like that when he signs up. This
could be good for you.

oooh yeah! I forgot about the sample size shampoos!! My only worry w/ the shampoo is that some people don't like the experience of washing and lathering. After they have brushed and blow dryed their hair then they can tell the difference, but I want their experience to be "Wow!" from the get go. What do you all think?
Thanks for the idea! I am really glad I found this message board. All my upline is out of state. I am winging it on my own!

Good luck! Great idea!!
Since folks need reservations at the BB, would he be able to display items as well? I think most folks staying at a B&B are more than willing to buy at cost. This could be a money maker for him & you!

I would think so. It is not open to the public. Now I am working on my approach. I don't want to overwhelm him. I think I will just let him sample the sea salt scrub and lotions along w/ the other employees and focus on Arbonnes pure, safe and beneficial stand. Then, I would set up a meeting w/ him to go over the logistics.

I think I would use the re9 approach & drop off full sized mens & womans lines for three days, along with the small sea salt & lotion. Tell him he can keep the sea salt & lotion for trying the products & spending 30 minutes with you when you pick them up. Then show him how he can order the samples & stock the rooms as he sees fit. Maybe he can offer a "Romance package" with a beautiful aroma therapy candle & bath & body, etc fbasket they can take home for an upcharge on the room.
I think it would be worth it to him to have the skin care samples & shampoo & cond, bath salts, etc in the bathrooms!
Good luck, can't wait to hear how it works out!

This is an awesome idea and I wish you lots of success! Also, I am so impressed at yours and all the other ideas of how to work it. Everyone is great to help out and you really have a head for business. I really like the idea of the basket in the room for an upcharge because then he makes money right off the bat and doesn't have a lot tied up in samples. Keep up the good work and maybe some of your willingness will rub off on me!! I am terribly shy and have a hard time making the phone calls. Good luck to all!! :)

You have to just DO IT!!! I am a military wife in a brand new area, Cheyenne Wyoming. The next "town" is 45 minutes away. I have no choice but to step out of my comfort zone. I am making myself have 2 Arbonne contacts a day. No matter what, and it makes a huge difference. When you don't set a goal, you easily let situations pass you by thinking something else will come along. Best of luck to everyone and their business!

I read on another board that you can put 10 beans in your pocket (Rita uses tic tacs) and each time you tell someone about Arbonne, you throw a bean away, your goal of course is to get rid of as many beans as you can! smileys/smiley4.gif

Hey everyone! Say a prayer for me. I just dropped off the info. to the owner today.I gave him the Awaken sea salt scrub, basics body lotion, herbal foot cream and a rejuvenating mist to sample and keep for considering the opportunity. He was such a friendly sweet man! I also gave him the mens RE9 sample set. I typed up a nice letter telling him a little about Arbonne to peak his interest, and mentioned the ways it could add to his bed and breakfast. So, we shall see!!
I do have other good news though. My aunt owns a b&b in Maine and she would love for me to send her info and samples too! So, I think it is worth a shot for everyone to pursue b&bs in their areas! Definetly ones that offer massages and have gift shops!! Best of luck!

Just wondering how this campaign is going? I am getting together
a basket of stuff and when I have it completed, I have a few B&B's
in mind to call! I was going to email, but I figure emails are
too easy to just delete!

I wish I could say it turned out well, but I haven't heard back from him yet. I left one message and one email. But, b/c of it, it gave me courage to approach my aunt who owns a b&b and she is going to put products in her gift shop!! :) I still think this is a GREAT idea and everyone should try it. You know what, maybe I will try one more phone call to him ...
