View Full Version : Help with Fund Raiser IDeas

Hi Ladies!

I have just been invited to participate in what will be the largest fund raising effort I've ever done. I already told the coordinator that I will give 20% of sales to the organization. Depending on how my month is, that could be my entire personal sales commission (granted, I will get more from my personal and team bonuses). After we secured the date, etc., she asked what I will offer for incentives. Wow, that really caught me off guard. Our company used to do a FunRaiser program so we never had to worry about paying the organizations, etc., but now we're kind of on our own for this. Since I already stated the 20% to the organization, I need to come up with some easy, inexpensive incentives for the sellers. She suggested I have something for the top 3 sellers. I really want to help this organization out, but I don't want to lose money on it either. For past fundraisers I would have put something together for the top sellers, but I could also count on earning commission from the fundraiser to help with those costs. In this case, I've already promised my commission away.

I appreciate any ideas or suggestions you guys might have for incentives during a fundraiser.

Thank you!

Can you do the fundraiser as a show? Then you would be getting the free products and you could offer the top sellers a dollar amount in product.

Hi Ann Marie!

I'm certainly considering this. And I think that the parents would really appreciate that. But would it motivate the kids? They are 12-14 years of age. Then again, I know several 12 year old girls who LOVE our HomeWares. The boys? Well, they don't seem as interested. smileys/smiley36.gif

Could you do something like gift certificates or santa bucks. Something that they could use to purchase their parents christmas gifts. You could use the hostess credit to get some of your less expensive items and let them shop from those.

or

You could always do little bags with dollar store gifts. I know that some of the items my daughter just won from a fundraiser looked like dollar store trinkets, but she loved them. She won a little am/fm radio with little earplugs for selling at least 10 items. We saw the exact same thing at walmart the other day for $1

I don't know if either of those will work for what you are doing. If not I hope you get some ideas that will.

Maybe you could "trade" with another consultant who sells things that
12-14 year old girls and boys might like. Food is always a good
choice with boys!smileys/smiley36.gif Girls love lots of the things that are offered by other consultants on the board such as jewelry, make up, candles etc.

you could definitely consider an outside inexpensive item as an incentive for the top sellers.. or by giving gift certificates for future purchase, they would then have to come back and shop from you again! so that might help!

You guys are giving me some great ideas! Thank you!

I'd like to give awards forthe following: top 3 sellers, meeting individual sales goals, meeting group sales goals. I'll also give a gift for every booking they find for me, and a nice award for referring my next HomeStyle Specialist. The booking and mentoring referalls are already covered. I love the ideas of goodie bags that can be done inexpensively for the top 3 sellers. I can do that in conjunction with offering hostess benies, so it appeals to kids and adults alike. I'm getting excited!

They did this fundraiser with Tastefully Simple last year. Basically, she gave more of her commission based on sales. The more they sold, they more commission they got, starting at 10%. Then she gave free food products to top sellers.

I was thinking about this last night as I prepare for my fundraiser promotions. What if you ask another party plan like dt to buy products for a small discount or exchange your free products in return for their product. It wouldn't hurt to ask and you are also networking yourself. Edited by: amccarthy
