My Unit Manager (DIQ) just came back from a directors meeting and said that there is a new way of doing spas set up in stations. How many of you are doing this? Just curious.

is this for open houses or just our regular spas? do you mind explaining to us how this works? i think it might be kind of fun to try it out...it might be more casual and relaxing to just do stations and not be talikng at people for an hour...sometimes it is fun, but with certain crowds i feel like they just tune me out, so maybe this would help...anyway, please fill us all in...

Thank you so much for sharing!!!! I am definately doing this. My spas always start late because I can't get them out of the kitchen and stop them from cahtting. Then I take them to the bathroom 2 at a time to do SOH and I feel like I am away from the action and who knows what they are saying about the product or others they may use when they walk out. This is SO perfect and it sounds super easy. If anyone has done this I would love to hear how it is working out for you!!!

I'm not doing that program. However, I did do a spa in stations and it was very hard! I couldn't talk to everybody the way I normally would. It didn't feel like a complete spa experience to me. I didn't get a single booking or any recruit leads either.

The only problem I see with this is the people that do not want anything on the face.. Do you just not do that persons face?

My director suggested that people who have a problem with using the products on their face can to the maintenace set on the back of their hand.
If you plan to do spas this way you may want to let your hostess know to tell her guests that they will be doing facials so that they are not surprised or taken back by it.
I LOVE this idea and can't wait to try it at my next spa on Friday!

I tried this at my last spa and LOVED it! It made the entire spa escape more fun for everyone involved. There was a lot less pressure on me because most of the time, their attention was just on the products and not really on me. I had rave reviews from everyone who came. There were even a couple of ladies who came, not planning on staying for the spa, but once things got started, they ended up staying and placing orders. The hostess is going to have another spa and one of her guests has already made plans to have 2 spas of her own. No one signed up right then, but before the end of the month, I may have a recruit as well.

I had to change it a little bit since I do foot soaks at my spa escapes. Basically, this is what I did:
1. I got there early to set up the relaxation room and give the hostess a brief rundown of how the evening will go.
2. at start time, I called the hostess into the kitchen, had her do the gold cleanser, fango mud mask, and SOH. Then, showed her how to do it on her other guests.
3. I had her do the mask and SOH on all of her guests (this was really fun because even when people came in "late" we were still in hospitality time, and they got to jump right in) It was even funnier when people came in and saw everyone walking around with green faces!
4. While they were doing all of this, I filled up the foot tubs. Since we were all just hanging out in the kitchen, I was still able to chat with everyone and all the guests talked and had a good time.
5. starting with the hostess, everyone rinsed off the mask andfinished the skin care set, all while I talked about our skin care beyong compare. Then, we all went into the relaxation room to enjoy the foot soak.
6. From there I did my goody bag, eye pads, lip apeel, deep breathing, and a technique called progressive relaxation. I gave them all ER and showed them how to give themselves a hand massage. We did a foot scrub, dumped the tubs, did foot cream.
7. I took 5 min to recap the skin care we already did and went over the cornflakes, raisins, and grapes.
8. I closed by showing sets, the ultimate spa set, the goody bag, took orders, and was done.
I had about 5 people at this spa. It went very well. I was going to have them keep the mask on until after relaxation, but it seemed like such a long time to have it on. I could be wrong. I'm going to tweek it a bit more. That was my first time doing it and I enjoyed the idea very much.I was very nervous, but once it got started, it flowed very nicely. To me, this was much easier.

I really like the idea of the ladies being able to relax for almost the entire time that I'm there. Most women these days don't get that amount of time just for themselves. I've adjusted this a bit to having the entire skin care regimen at the sink including the WTGTM, Regen and Cell Block C PM. The best thing is if they come with a full face of makeup...I also include the makeup remover and lash and lid bath at the sink so they can use those first. Most people don't realize that if they take care of their skin they won't have to wear that much makeup. The reaction is unbelievable because they can feel how soft their face feels. I offer to apply makeup for them after the spa relaxation is over (since we do all the skin care first) but I haven't had anyone take me up on it because they are so surprised at how soft their face is, they don't want to ruin it!
After they finish their faces they do the SOH and then move in to do the relaxation. Before they relax I share my goody bag and then explain to them the skin care. It seems to make a LOT more sense to them after they've tried it.
