Has anyone had work experience with this company? They list some very attractive work-from-home positions that offer pretty decent pay, so I am suspicious. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

I think I'm going to go for it. I'm not going to include my pertinent info such as home address, ss#, etc. I'll let you all know what I find out.

Looks pretty up and up to me & the pay is just average. What about this place is causing your spidey sense to go off?
Also it says telecommuting possible so I wonder if they want you to work in their headquarters first?

I applied with them a while ago and never heard anything back.

Claycath,
LOVE the 'spidey sense' comment!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifI guess I'm getting jaded - I've found legitimate wah jobs are few and far between...but I persevere! I'm a freelance graphic designer but I'm always looking for opportunities to fill the inevitable down-time, ya know?

Thank you for taking the time to check them out. I tend to second-guess myself, (being a newbie), but I trust you ladies here at WAHM and I sure am thankful I found this forum!

That's what we're here forhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
I know what you mean about getting jaded though. When the scams seem to outnumber the legitimate jobs 10 to 1, it's hard to trust any of them.
Great portfolio by the way. Your'e so talented!
Good luck Theresa!

Is Gorge Warehouse legit or a scam, Do they pay?

It's still selling & alot of us hate that. That's probably why you aren't getting much reaction. I know I personally rather have my teeth drilled without novacaine than cold call someone like that.

Rofl Claycath. I'm calling businesses but it's for a non profit so it's not so bad, but in general I have to agree with you.

Well, I sent my resume to Gorge yesterday. The online application asks for your ss# and a lot of other personal info that I'm not comfortable giving out in the first contact with the company, soI left those fields blank and was still able to successfully submit my app. I'll let ya'll know what happens!

I think Theresa's point was that if you wanted torecruit for your business, maybe you should start a different thread instead of hijaking this one. It tends to be looked on as a little rude.

I signed up with Gorge Warehouse too. I didn't put in my social security number on the website tho. Guess we'll see what happens.

Thank you, Cathy, for stating my point much more eloquently than I did. I truly did not mean to anger anyone, I just thought it was not proper forum etiquette.

BECAUSE your first post made it sound like you found this great job for this great company. You failed to mention that YOU owned the company. Wasn't exactly dishonest but didn't come across too ethical to me & Theresa just called you on the carpet for it. Then you come across as a total bully to her. She apologized several times already so drop it. As far as I can see, you are the only one trying to start trouble here. You owe her an apology in my opinion & you need tobrush upon your netiquette rules. You are not coming across as very professional.

I prefer sales cold call sales myself and just filled out the application. Gimme a call whoever you are LOL

txcookie, wow I admire you! I wish I could do that. There's a lot of oppurtunities for those who are good at sales/cold calling.
If you look a few threads down from this one, there's a 5 page thread on this lady's company. She's more active on that thread & you might get an answer sooner. Of course if you filled out an application, I'm sure that will work. Good luck to you!

I actuall started working from home several years ago doing business to business sales calls and was amazed at how well I did at it. My supervisor would tell me I needed X number of sales or leads for a bonus and I'd get that number plus a few more and it became a challenge to me. I can always sell to men easier than women cause you can flirt a man into buying almost anything LOL
