You don't have my favorite - Soy Light Gifts - on your list! :)
I'm going to go and look for the website that has opinions on candles to post a link for you. I don't think you'll get a true opinion here simply because I think everyone will vote for the candles they sell (as well they should!), and it will end up being a popularity contest with the company that has the most reps posting on this board coming through as the winner.
You could try posting in the general home party plans board to get info from people who don't sell candles to see what they buy, or even the general topics folder here at WAHM.com, if you want to hear from the general public who doesn't sell candles.
Hope this helps - I think I know which company will come out on top in your survey simply based on the fact that they have the most reps on this messageboard! Smaller companies, like mine, and some of the other ones in your list will probably not fare as well simply because we don't have that many reps yet! I know I'm the only rep for my company that posts here, and I'm sure some of the other small/new companies are the same. That doesn't mean our product isn't as good, we just haven't grown as much yet, and don't have as many consultants to vote in surveys online!
Good luck - there are definitely a lot of candle companies out there to choose from!

I have burned all of the above. When looking for a new company, I decided to go with Diamond Creek Candles because it suited my needs. The candles also smell great!
Good luck in making your decision!

Sorry - I got busy and didn't get to find that link like I had planned to! Here it is: http://www.candlefind.com/
They don't have all of the home party/affiliate plan candles listed, but some of them are on there.
Hope this helps!

I have to be honest here, I used to burn Illuminations candles like a wild woman and thought they were the best until a friend of mine gave me a Mia Bella and I fell in love. Yes, I sell them but even if I did not, they would be my choice to burn for many reasons the least being no sooty mess and the incredible scent throw.

Very Pretty! I almost have TOO many! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Hi all,
If you really stop and think about it, the main reason most of us are with the companies we are, is from our very own experience in trying the products. I used another popular brand for 15 years before switching, and now I will never change! lol.......
Another note, I could never sell a product, I didn't truly believe in! Everyone does have their own favorite, and I guess you just have to try for yourself to make up your own mind!

I didn't even like candles, before Mia Bella, b/c of the black stuff and the texture of a lot of them.
I looked at MB from the business side primarily first. Then as my Candles of the Month started coming, I fell in love with them!
I never burned any of the others listed, but I sure have become a candle addict thanks to MB!
That's my vote!

I totally agree with what everyone has said - I think you should try candles before deciding, and choose the one you love. Here's the one problem - once you have your favorite, you don't try any more! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif I have tried PartyLite, but have never tried Mia Bella, and have never even seen a White Lily, Apple Blossom, or Scentsy product outside of the internet!
So though I love my Soy Light, I have to say I have never even tried many of the others out there! I got to the one I found I loved, and I quit trying! I'm sure there is no one here who has tried candles fromALL of thecompanies listed, right?
It would be interesting to hear from someone who has tried candles from ALL of the available companies to see what they think of each of the different candles. If I hada lot of time (yeah, right!) and unlimited funds (again, yeah, right!) I would definitely volunteer to try a candle from each company. Too bad they don't have all of the companies listed on that Candle Find website I posted.
Have to run - mid morning munchies are striking my 2 year old!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

I've been a candle lover for years but had to stop burning them in our home when DH developed asthma and restrictive lung disease.
After 2 years with NO candles in the house (oh how hard that was!), I tried a Mia Bella and haven't look back since!
Beautiful, real scents, long lasting, even burning, and NO coughing or hacking or wheezing from DH.
I haven't found anything thatcompares to them.

Claudette: please go away!
Back to the OP: You seem really informedon Candle Companies, so since you already told me "Mia Bella's Products are too expensive..." Why do you keep asking about them?
You also said the sign up cost was to much, and there aren't many companies for cheaper, so what is the deal? Are you really looking for a company or not? Feels like you are playing with all us reps from various companies.......Edited by: Thankful613

Before I involved with MB, I'm a kind of person that doesn't really care what kind of candle I burn as long as I love the smell of it. No wonder I got those headaches and black soot everywhere. I just love MB candles based on my experience as a customer not a seller.smileys/smiley1.gif

Okay, I do like Mia Bella, but I switched to Scentsy.
I think they are both a good product. I just like the idea of the warmers and bars for my home.
Of course, I am prejudice too, like many posting here.
I haven't tried all the companies listed, but I am sure most have a quality product and some won't have many reps or anyon this board to vote for their line.
There are other good lines too like Gold Canyon, Bittersweet, Northern Lights at Home, Diamond Creek and etc.

I love mia bella candles, the way they burn. Gold Canyon has great scents but are very sooty, so I would never buy those again. I also love Apple Blossom Candles-very clean and nice scent throw.

I love, love, love the strong scented Scentsy candle bars. On those occasions when I want to burn a candle, I'm still partial to PartyLite.

Out of that list I have only burned Mia Bella and Partylite. I like them both but I pick Partylite. MBs can be way too strong for me.

I've noticed a few people mention using bars instead of burning candles.
Truth be known, I haven't lit a candle in my home in weeks.
I have my simmer pot going 24/7. LOVE IT!
For me, because I come and go from my house several times a day, it seemed as soon as I got a candle going, it was time to blow it out as I was heading out. So I missed coming home to that wonderful scent.
With the simmer pot, it's like leaving a small lamp on all the time so there's no "danger" aspect for me.
What am I simmering? My Mia Bella votives of course! I cut each votive into quarters and keep them in a plastic baggie. Then every morning, I toss one pieceinto the pot (emptying out the spent wax first of course), and I have a new scent daily - if I choose. Right now I'm kinda hooked on the Cactus & White Peach though. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
I'm not worried about leaving the simmer pot on while I'm running around the city. And I get to comeback to a beautifully scented home.
I'm sure come autumn, I'll be lighting candles again as I feel the warmth of the flame goes naturally with cooler weather. And I do less running around than in the summer. But right now, that simmer pot and Mia Bella scents suit me perfectly.
All the best,
Vicki

Like everyone here I too am a candle freak. Been like that for many years. Tried many many different candles. Until a few years ago when I made a drastic change in the way I viewed candles.
I was a flood victum unforunately. During the remodeling I had an aircondition repair person come to clean all our ducts because of the possibilty ofmold. To my surprise when he did clean my ducts he asked if I was a big candle person. At that time I was burning no candles because of all the construction, was to afraid of them getting accidently knocked over.
I told him yes, I loved them. Why did you ask. He then showed me the white brush that was now completely black. This scared me because the first thing out of my mouth was "Oh, no we have that bad mold!" He said "NO, NO, nothing at all like that. There is no signs of mold here. Your lucky about that. The black that you are seeing is because of the soot from candles most likely." I was stunned. Never before had I ever thought about the black on the jars going into my ac ducts. I told him "
This is disgusting. I guess I will not be burning candles any longer." He said no that he would suggest me looking at the all natual candles like soy. He told me that the soy candles do not seem to produce the black soot like the parfin wax candles do.
So after the repairs were finished my love of candles made me pursue the all natual candles. Tried several and then finally came across MiaBella. I fell in love with them after I burned my 1st one. The fragrance stayed right to the bottom of the jar. They burned completely clean and burned for a long long time. And when my friends and family came to my home they would always comment on how nice my home smelled. And the amazing part was for the 1st time I could burn candles all day long and never get a headache. One more thing that the parffin wax candles would do to me. Just didn't know that was why at that time.
So yes, now I not only enjoy my MiaBella Candles, I joined to promote them too and I love being a part of this wonderful company. This was the one thing that came out of the flood that was a good! LOL
So would I ever change to another candle. No!!!
