I am having one this Saturday and I wondered if anyone had any new ideas to share. I am doing a lot of nurses..........I did a office spa with these ladies and now we are in the home of the office manager!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif So, I really want to make a great impact!

Any suggestions?

I purchased one of those HUGE margarita glasses (about the size of a large cookie jar) and put lime green krinkle paper in it. Then I place the margarita line inside. My hostess usually makes margarita's and serves chips and salsa. I demo the margarita foot scrub on the arm at the same time they do the SOH. Then the foot creme on one foot and HS on the other. Then the margarita lip balm instead of the regular lip balm. I've also heard other consultants say that they play salsa music as well. HTH:) and Good Luck. Nurses can be a gold mine!

How do you demo the Margarita lip balm? Shave it off? I would love to demo it, but am not sure how to do it!

Just use one of your spatulas or a q-tip:)

I just had one last week. The hostess requested everyone soak their feet since they all stand long hours. I had them use the Strawberry bath sugar (went over big!), scrub their feet with the Margarita scrub, rinse, dry and use the foot creme with baggies. No socks because it was way too hot. I went on with the normal spa and had them use the lip balm.

It was a huge hit! Got two bookings and sold a lot of Margarita. It is still my best seller. The hostess served Margaritas, chips/salsa and cheesecake.

Sounds like something I was thinking about doing...........I can't wait-I am looking forward to this spa!!!

I had one of these last week and another scheduled next month...SOOO fun...I am a very clumsy person, but I don't drink and the hostess knew that so she made a batch of virgin margaritas as well as the good stuff...everyone was teasing me when i kept dropping stuff!!!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif!

Just have fun...plus I really like the iodea of the salsa music...be prepared for them all laughing through relaxation

second goatesgirl on the laughing thru relaxation. I had a margarita spa last week. The hostess had virgin and not so vigin maragritas and strawberry daiquiris (sp). I had the virgins but you couldn't tell. I think the alcohol permeates the air and makes everyone a little more "loose" than usualhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif I just did a regular spa but we used the margarita foot scrub and foot cream. I used the cabana girl fuzzy navel for hand massages, and had them put the pineapple daiquiri foot cream on the knees and elbows. After lip apeel, they used the margarita lip balm. I just use a spatula and scrape off a teeny bit...it doesn't take much. We had a blast. the room smelled SO GOOD and between the spa stuff and the chips, salsa, and cheese dip we all had a wonderful afternoon.

Thats why I suggested to the hostess to not serve drinks until after the demonstration. Then I found out that she dosen't drink-so she is getting lime surbert and ginger ale and making a punch and maybe a mexican dip.

I do the basic relaxation but add the margarita scrub for the ladies to try on the back of their hands and use the margarita foot creme instead of the hs. I just use the regular lip balm with the lip apeel and show them there's a margarita lip balm available. But I didn't really sell much margarita stuff at the margarita spas though. But it does pack the house and get all the ladies in a good mood. The last margarita spa I sold skincare to 4 women (didn't demo just talked about it) a margarita gift basket with the whole set (bought by the hostess) and sold 7 soh & 7 ex repairs and other misc stuff. HTH!

where did you get the huge mararita glass?

Actually, at a white elephant gift exchange (nobody else wanted it http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif!) But I've seen them at like Bed, Bath, and Beyond or Linens & Things, stores like that.

I got mine at Michael's! And I put green rock glass in it. Same idea. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif

I use the huge margarita glasses too with just clear "ice" beads from Michael's. I actually did this with the entire cabana line too but I put each piece in it's own, smaller cup with the ice beads. I wrapped them with shrink wrap from the top and fastened it around the stem with floral wire, attached a silk hibiscus flower or two (also from Michael's) and tied it with raffie (the tan, hay-like kind, also from Michael's). Women LOVE these!

Yes, I bought dish pans at Walmart for around a dollar. I do not use them very often anymore, but every once in a while I get a request to soak.

Thanks ladies for the ideas! I had my Margarita Spa and it was a great success! I had about 7 there and everyone loved everything-I had the ladies soak their feet in the New LOTS Mineral Bath and then did the Margarita Foot Scrub-loved it! I had a $289 spa and got 3 bookings and a possible recruit (later on). Did the coupons that had get $100 in product for half off.....this is a good thing to do that way everyone buys something and if you are at the 50% off mark it doesn't hurt that much in profit! Also, if my hostess would have signed up tonight she would have had her F&F paid for! I may start doing this at every spa!!!

what are those coupons about? do you mind explaining what they are, how you use them and where you got them...anything to boost my sales

There are a few coupons on different websites I've seen. Try the www.shelleywardunit.com (http://www.shelleywardunit.com) site under forms, that's where I found most of mine although I haven't started using them but will soon.

You can customize them to what you want to offer.
