Hi, I recently found this forum and think it's great! I am going to be putting in my first order and wondered if anyone had any advice. I don't have a lot of money to start and am not interested in the $96 dollar business kit. I will not be doing parties unless a family member asks me too so I think that one is not for me. I am interested in calling on businesses like herbal shops, gyms ect... What is the best investment in selling tools? Any advice?

As an F.Y.I...wanted to share Arbonne's Policies & Procedures on "Commercial Outlets"

Commercial Outlets
Arbonne is a person-to-person marketing company. Our business is not oriented for retail outlets. Arbonne’s policy does not authorize its products to be sold or displayed in retail outlets. Arbonne products may not be displayed and/or sold to the general public in any office or business/commercial outlet, or through home shopping network programs (i.e., HSN, QVC). The product may not be displayed in public view, such as in a window display.

Examples of outlets that may not sell Arbonne products or display promotional materials include, but are not limited to: department stores, beauty supply stores, supermarkets, drug stores, health food stores, discount establishments, swap meets, mall carts, kiosks and flea markets. Approval will not be given for venues that are not conducive to the professional image Arbonne wishes to portray.

As a limited exception to the foregoing rule, product may be sold or displayed in: (1) offices and other areas located in private clubs that are not accessible to, or in view of, the general public; or (2) the private offices of professionals that operate by appointment only (e.g., doctors, dentists, chiropractors, etc.), and beauty salons. Arbonne products may not be sold or displayed in any other public retail/service locations.

Hope this helps in your decision.Edited by: SwissSkin

Hold up, wait a minute... when we went to NTC this year - we were told by the Queen herself that we may approach anyone who takes appointments. So, if you are not wanting to host presentations, no worries you can contact salons, spa's, chiropractors etc. So there plenty of places out there that you can go to.

Good luck and pm me if you need help.

SwisSkin, I am not interested in retail outlets. I am interested in the people that own them and are into botantical products. I can not afford to place products in shops! The small business owner who is a vegan or herb person is who I want to target-and all their friends. The salon owner who works out of their house ect... Though looking back at my first post I see I did not explain that enough.

Well I found that doing the no party party really works because you do not have to have a party so if people are to busy to get together that is ok

I do a mixture of the party, the drop off, and talking with business owners. They all have thier pros depending on the situation. I love that we have so many options available and can be as creative as we want to be!!!smileys/smiley32.gif

Next month I am attending 3 free career fairs at the local college - my focus is obviuosly "recruitment" I am about to start work on a presentation board with the Benz etc. I think it will be fun!! Who knows and it is FREE advertisment for me:))

know how you get referrals after the sale? it's kinda like that but in reverse! smileys/smiley36.gif You get the referrals first and use their sales to get the "refer-er" her hostess specials/rewards. If I have someone who has tried the RE9 set and wants it but can't afford it, doesn't want to do a class, then Ihave her think of her friends and the ones who would be the most likely to buy the set, I have them try the RE9, then I do their sales just as if I were entering an order for a class presentation.

As for the no party. I just get all the people I know and that my friend the hostess knows then I give them this flyer that tells them about a no party party and i set up a time to take the set to there house. They try it it there home on there time. I call them in a few days to see how they like it and to set up a time to pick up the set . People really like it because it is just hard to get people together sometimes

Wow, that sounds great, what does your flyer consist of? Is it kind of like a party invitation?

Thanks for all the help,
