What is the difference between cystic acne and rosacea and can you use the RE9 set for both? OnArbonne's website it says that the RE9 might not be a good idea for rosacea. Has anyone out there used it for either cystic acne or rosacea. Did it help? Did you use all the products? Sorry for the barrage of questions, but there is a person I want to approach who has this (rosacea) and I wanted to get it straight in my head before I spoke with her. Any iinformation or personal stories would be of great help!

Thank you!

Suzanne,

I can tell you whatI would do, but you should speak with a product
specialist in the company to get thecompany recommendations.

I would use RE9 for Rosacea. Vitamin C is an excellet skin "strengthener"
and Rosacea seems to respond well to it. There may be some initial
"heat" when first applied, but should subside within a minute or so.
Ironically, this condition seems to respond well to some acne treatments
(Saicylic acid and to a lesser degree Benzoyl Peroxide (not over 2.5%)).

I do not treat Rosacea as if it were sensitive skin, and be sure to refer to
physician's as necessary. This is a frustrating disease of the skin.

Hope this is helpful,

Sorry,

To answer your original question, the two are completely separate diseases
of the skin. Both are usually inherited. I would not use RE9 on any grade of
acne. Stick with the products for oily/acenic skin...

I know they say RE9 is self-adjusting, but in my experience, it exacerbates cystic acne. I had one client break out terribly from it ... and as you know, cystic acne is painful. I felt horrible!

Most of my clients are oily and acne-prone and none of them canuse the RE9 products (with the exception of the eye cream). Myself included ... I use the Clear Advantage and I did use the BioMatte line. I'm really disappointed that Arbonne chose to discontinue this line in favor of RE9. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley6.gif

The Bio Matte line is not completely gone yet. The day cream has been discontinued adn the set obviously cannot be purchased without it. It is their intenet (per my RVP) to evntually discontinue the line (no date given yet). The only product they plan to keep from the line is the personalizer. Perhaps you can stock up on some before it is gone?

I have a fairly wide market of oily faces but chose not to begine them on the Bio Matte. I didn't want to inrtoduce them to it just to have them work through a transition down the road. I do however need to come up with a plan on what to get them hooked on.smileys/smiley2.gif Back to the drawing board...

I have Rosacea, and I tried the RE9 samples for a week. It just made my skin even more red. smileys/smiley5.gifNow Rosacea is different for everyone and there is no cure. Even products for sensitive skin can trigger flare-ups. A few things that can set it off are Witch Hazel and Alph Hydroxy Acids. So if you do have a customer with Rosacea you might want to let them know that the Re9 Facial Serum, Day & Night may not be a good idea for them, but the rest of the set may be ok. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

You are right Cinnamon everyone is different... I have two clients one who has lupus and one who has rosacea. The lady with rosacea can't speak more highly of the products. She uses everything and says that it has faded. The lady with lupus can use everything but the night creme and uses the one from the basci set instead. I would always suggest that anyone with a skin condition samples first. That way you won't have to go through the refund process etc etc. Also, my daughter has severe excema which she keeps under control byusing the basic set and elidel(prescription medicine). It works really well as she now has the teenage pimple problem too:))

Anyway, have a great biz building day ladies...
