What do you ladies do with the old catalogs that you have on hand when you know you are getting new ones soon.

I just had them out, our catalog is beautiful and it sells itself.

Hand them out with a label on them that says "If you like what you see inside and want a current catalog to see whats new, call me" and add your contact info.

Ohhh, I like that idea, Mary.

I was wondering the same thing about handling old catalogs at the end of the summer. Thank you for posting that question DS and for your suggestion Mary.

Wishing you much success. :)

--Give them out like candy. ;-)
--Leave them in waiting rooms.
--Cut them up to make posters
--Have my DH take them to work
--Put them in informational packets
--Send to new team members in a welcome pack so they have something to cut up
--Leave them out at booths for people to take

I'll be putting the following on my Usborne Catalogs:

"Call or email me to check out ournewest books. www.goreadtoday.com (http://www.goreadtoday.com)"

I have sent some via mail to old aquaintences (sp?) that may not know about my business yet with the same idea, a stick that says something aobut contacting me for a more current catalog blah blah blah...

I also leave them everywhere I go

Always make sure that your contact info is on the catalog though. You never know where it could end up!

As a person researching opportunities, I'd like to suggest sending out the "old" catalog as well as the new in your opportunity mailings. In my opinion in gives the possible recruit a good "feel" for your product line. Is your company consistant? Do your products vary greatly from catalog to catalog? These are important things to consider when evaluating a business.

That is a great idea Amy. That is a perspective I never thought about! Some companies replace many products, add to certain collections or some simply just change the pics around.

Good luck with your research.

That's exactly what I do with my old catalogs. I save them and put them in my opportunity packs that I send out to perspectiveconsultants and/or customers looking to compare companies. I've had perspective consultants tell me that old catalogs, along with the new ones, were very helpful for them when doing their "research" on what company to join. They're able to see a direction of the company and how it's changing and growing. I never had thought of that until a few peoplehad pointed it out to me....so I save them.

I use then in consideration packets as well as hand them out at craft & vendor shows. No catalog ever gets wasted! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

Folks hang on to catalogs far longer than they do a business card. I'm amazed at the calls I get because someone hung onto a catalog they got from me!

I do the same thing as Debbie. I have been passing them out like candy too or leave them in waiting rooms. I also tell the actual people that I hand them to, that we have a new one coming out and if they give me their information, I can get the new one out to them.
