My sister who is 15, ordered the All Clear line about a month ago, she has not seen any real results yet. She doesn't have really bad acne, but she does have scarring and pimples. More than the average teen. Do you think she should use the Microdermabrasion and then her All Clear? She said that the skin care isn't really clearing it up, so what are your thoughts on making the pimples go away that she has already??

Thanks!!
Kiley

I would not recommend MD with All Clear. My 16 yo son uses All Clear and has good results. His acne was significant. Is she using it consistently? Many times that is the problem. I also recommend the AC sulphur masque. It really seems to help too.

Here's another idea for SEVERE acne...especially us Post-Teen Ladies....

8-10 days before your period take a Vitamin called Golden Seal...Do not take every day of the month as it can be hard on your system....
Take 2 in am with Breakfast, 2 at Lunch and 2 at bedtime
Next-
AM and PM
Step 1- Skinlogics Cleansing Gel mixed with All Clear Scrub and Warming Green Tea Masque (wash)
Step 2- Skin Logics Gold Toner
Step 3- Regeneration Gold
Step 4- AM: All Clear Mosturizer
PM: Cell Block C PM
Make sure you Micro Derm 2 x per week on same nights every week

A BCDirector swears by this for ladies with Adult acne. She said that she has paid all kinds of money and tried to get it taken care of but this is what works the best. She said that oily skin is caused because the skin learns that it is dry and wants to over compensate for the lack of oil and so it produces too much, but if you keep it moisturized correctly then your skin will quit producing so much oil and you won’t have the acne like before.
Please let me know if you try and if you see results......This is Great personally and think of the re-order business!!

I wouldn't recommend the MDA because you shouldn't use it on open sores. This can actually spread the bacteria and make her acne worse!

Just thought you should know!

If she is using the All Clear consistently and correctly and it is not working, she could try the Microderm Abrasion as long as she does not have cystic acne or open wounds on her face. She can also combine the All Clear Cleansing Gel with the Warming Trend Masque and Scrub and see if that helps. Maybe her pores are not opening to allow the scrub to get the deep down dirt and oil. That is what I would try. I use the All Clear, and I combine it with the Warming Masque and Scrub 2-3 times a week or as necessary. It has really helped me!

If that still does not work, you may want to have her see a dermatologist and find out if she has an allergy to some of the ingredients. Edited by: mlbo

I have a ? for you all- (I know that this is an older post- but my problems just came up this weekend)
I gave my hostess minis of the All Clear set. She is currently using Proactive. She used it one day and said her face was too dry. I told her if that was the only problem she had with the skin care line- then that wasn't a problem at all- and that we have great moisturizers. At her spa I asked if she continued to use it and she said no- that her face was starting to look better- and that she wasnervous to switch. I then told her that our products are often compared to Proactive- and that they keep you on it- where as ours gets you back to a basic skin care line.
The same thing happened with my cousin- gave her the minis to try All Clear- and then she used it once and said she wasnervous to switch.
What can I dofor them toACTUALLY use it??

One of the benefits to AllClear is that you only order what you need when you need it. Proactive sends you products on a scheduled basis whether you need them or not. I heard this complaint from users of Proactive. Apparently they don't use all the products at the same rate so they end up with more than they need. I would tell her this. With All Clear you only purchase what you need when you need it. You might try offering her a special incentive if she uses the All Clear for a reasonable time. There are a lot of sale items now!

huh- Ok thanks- now do these proactive people have to keep paying for what they don't need- b/c that can get expensive

I also had a Proactiv user who hosted a spa and wanted the All Clear instead. She was in her 30s and had a reaction to the All Clear. I checked with my director and she actually feels that Proactiv is comparable to the regular Skinlogics line, not the All Clear line. She said All Clear is the strongest skincare for acne you can get without a prescription...stronger than Proactiv. What I wound up doing was giving that hostess samples of the Skin Solution set to use to clear up the reaction to the All Clear. Then, when her skin was ready, I gave her a Skinlogics set. This was several months ago and she absolutely loves the Skinlogics. So my position on this now is that I will start Proactiv users out on the Skinlogics and then if they need more, I'll give them the All Clear skin solution or moisturizer to substitute for the Skinlogics one...switching products right up to the full All Clear set if necessary. It doesn't cost me anything, since BC sends me a replacement if the Skinlogics toner (for example) is not strong enough for her. And this way I won't have someone wake up in the middle of the night with her face burning again!

yes, they pay for what they don't need!

I have also put regular Proactiv users straight over to the Skinlogics line with great success. Specifically, 1 was my 12 yr. old neice and the other was her mom (my sil). My SIL just signed up last weekend with me because she loves it so much. She has gotten so many comments on how her skin is looking the best it ever has. My nieces is almost completely cleared up. As a pre-teen, she's going to get breakouts from hormones. So I will suggest an acne treatment such as blemish block or the sulfur mask for those specific instances instead of the All Clear line.

Also, if it is an infection that is causing the acne, then no... I wouldn't have them do MA. I would send them to their dr. first. Otherwise, I have seen first hand how the MA has completely transformed an acne ridden face to a face that looked like velvet. It was amazing!

I have bought the all clear for my daughters, pre-teen and early teen. Should they not be using it everyday as their skin care regime? After reading the posts it sounds like this is something you only use when you break out? Let me know, I don't want to completely dry out their skin. Thanks!

All Clear is for people experiencing CHRONIC acne. If your daughters only experience occasional acne (once a month, for example), they should be fine just using the Skinlogics. If they are using All Clear with success, there's no reason to switch.

I personally use the All Clear Cleanser, Tonic and Scrub with the Skinlogics Moisturizer. The All Clear Moisturizer dried out my skin, but the Skinlogics is just right! You are able to mix and match as long as you do all the steps. Hope that helps! MarieEdited by: mlbo

I had a hostess that was using ProActive. She decided she would try the Skinlogics since it was 50% off, and compare the two.

I just followed up with her, and she said she LOVES the Skinlogics. She said it is actually working better, and that it doesn't have a strong smell, so her husband prefers it, too. He actually told her he can kiss her cheek after she uses Skinlogics (I guess he didn't do that before - the smell was too strong). She likes it much better, and said it is more affordable, because she would always forget to cancel the autoshipment, and would wind up with more than she needed.

She had originally wanted to try the All Clear, but I told her she could start with Skinlogics since it had a little gentler ingredients. I told her I would give her a sample of the All Clear if she wanted to compare them, and she said she may not even get the sample now, since she has had such great results from the Skinlogics.

I started out using Skinlogics 30's set and then switched to All Clear due to my mild chronic acne. But since using All Clear, it seems to be worse. Would you all suggest I go back to the SKinlogics?

It may indeed be, that the All Clear is too harsh for your skin and is over-drying it. If your skin is being over-dried, it will produce MORE oil and make your acne worse! I would switch around the products and see what combination works best for you! Maybe you just need to switch the cleanser or the moisturizer with the Gold line again.

Good luck!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley10.gif

I've been using the All Clear scrub for years. But on vacation I brought a mini of the Facial Scrub that's for Skinlogics. The Facial scrub seemed harsher/stronger than the All Clear scrub. I was really surprised. But maybe it's just my imagination. Has anyone else tried both and compared them?

I have the same problem...unfortunately my issue is consistancy...my skin starts to look and feel better and I slack off and then I am a mess all over again. Until last year when I joined BC I never even washed my face. I developed acne after having my last daughter. I never had it before and I never even thought about skin care. So actually making a habit of it is hard...that maybe something she is struggling with as well. One thing I have found that actually brings the "flare-up" down for me is that I use the All Clear Duo (the treatment/consealer in one). I use the "treatment" end and it works FANTASTIC! Now if we just had that as an individual product I would be all over it!
Lastly, I have had a 13 year old client who struggled with acne and she tried the All Clear and as stated above her face was on fire. We switched her to the 20's set and it is working great for her.
Good luck!

The blemish block is very similar to the All Clear Duo, but it dries so you can peel it off.

I know what you mean about being consistent! Just remember it takes 21 days to form a habit, and once you use it consistently for that length of time, you should be used to doing it, and it will be harder to stop. Any break in the 21 days, though, and you will have to restart the count!

I have used both the All Clear and Skinlogcs Scrubs. I think the Skinlogics scrub polishing beads are bigger, where the All Clear scrub has finer grains. I think it is more gentle for that reason, personally.

I have adult acne and have had a lot of success with a combination of products. I use the all clear in the evening and the SkinLogics Gold in the Morning. I use the Green Tea Mask every morning as well.

Sometimes with Chronic acne, the problem is the bad skin never has time to heal. Try using the MDA (only if you dont' have open sores), if you do, use All clear cleanser and then the Green Tea Mask and leave on for 5 minutes. Then rinse off and apply the All Clear toner and then the all clear Moisturizer.

I am really happy with my results. I still on occasion get a small pimple, but not as bad as i use to. If I could give up the chocolate - I wouldn't get any. Edited by: BarbinMN
