View Full Version : Great Spa and Question

Hi Ladies,

I had to share my great spa stories this weekend with you ladies (oh and I have a couple questions..what a surprise!).

I did a trade show called the Partini Secret on Thurs, it kind of fell into my lap and I went for it. I did it with two other ladies in my unit and we each walked away with at least 30-40 names. It was all women and it was in an art gallery, very cool setting with funky music and stuff like pole dancing and belly dancing demos. We were so busy with SOH & ER for 2 1/2 hrs and got tons of interest in spas...no one could believe that our spas are free!! One lesson learned...bring inventory! We didn't bring any SOH and regretted it..we thought we'd go for bookings instead which is good but having some inventory would have been good too.

Then on Friday night I had a spa (which I almost cancelled because my daughter was sick but decided it was hubby's turn for his shift since I did the snuggling all day) with 9 ladies. I did over $600 in sales plus my hostess still needs to place her order as she was busy with hostess stuff. I also have a potential booking or two from her sister who said they were already deciding who to invite and just needed to find a date!

On Sat afternoon I had a spa in another town..again, almost cancelled because of my daughter being sick but once again decided it was daddy's turn. I had more than $700 in sales, the hostess signed up, and one spa booked plus two more potential bookings! Also, the hostess is working on getting one of her friends to sign up so they can go to BeautiU together! One more and I'll be VIP! I also have 2 more orders from guests that had to leave early (one of which took home a mini skincare set to try). And 3 of the guests bought the skin care sets!

I just had to share this with you all, it was an amazing weekend and once I got over my "mom guilt" I was really happy. My daughter ended up being fine and I think it was just allergies, plus my husband finally understands what it's like to take care of a sick toddler. Moral of the story is - take what opportunities come and everything happens for a reason!

So, on to my question(s). I'm going to make tonight and tomorrow night "power hours" to make my calls from the trade show and to follow up with the girls frommy spas this weekend about product they have and product I need to deliver. What do I say when I call my tradeshow leads? They're names from our draw box...but the ones I talked to were all interested in booking a spa (just wouldn't commit to a date that night...)? I always stumble on my words. Also, do I leave msgs if they're not home??

Also, for dark circles...what do you guys find works best?? I did some research on Beautinet on the weekend and I think I understand the difference between our eye products but I demo eye x cel and I had a lot of questions about the best for dark circles...I might recommend the eye x cel or gold and add the time to go capsules if they find they need an extra boost?? What do you ladies think?? The eye x cel has helped my circles and puffiness and some of my fine lines, however, I'm in my late 20's and don't have a lot of lines so it's sometimes hard to recommend to ppl that have both...

Sorry for the long post! Thanks for your help!

Jaclyn

I can't answer your trade show question; hopefully someone else will bump up one of the great threads on this forum related to that. However, both the Regeneration Gold Eye Creme and the Platinum Regeneration Eye Creme are GREAT for undereye circles. I started on the Gold but eventually switched to the platinum since my skincare was platinum. I noticed a difference within a week on the gold, and so do my customers! Sometimes I now forget to put on concealer under my eyes because my raccoon eyes are almost totally gone! Hope this helps!

Jaclyn, Way to go!!! Sounds like your business is really taking off!!!! Great sales $$$$!

I always ask if my customer is already using an eye creme and if not, I start them on the eye xcel. Just kinda depends on the situation. The gold is also very good for dark circles, so, if they are buying the kit, I make sure to tell them that will work just as well. I personally use the platinum and have really started noticing a positive difference. My eyes finally look sufficiently hydrated.

As far as your power hours, write down a simple script. You will find it very helpful in making your calls. And do leave messages. You will be surprised how many of your leads will be glad you are following up!

Good luck!

Great Job Jaclyn!!! You're doing an awesome job! Like Kari said, just make a script and leave messages! It really helps. Maybe say something like:You indicated that you were interested in booking a spa when we met at the tradeshow. I was wondering what date you'd like me to put you in for? Or I have these dates available...

Something like that! I hope it helps! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley10.gif

Thanks Ladies! That helps.

I get so confused with the eye creams...but I do love that BC has a money back guarantee and people are very impressed with that. I will let them know that both the eye x cel and gold should bring them results. I might offer to upgrade one lady to the gold if she's looking for more help with lines.

Kari - do you find that your eyes are hydrated enough with the platinum? I was reading that some ppl find it drying so I thought I would check.

I will definitely leave messages. Leah, I like your idea of asking what date works instead of if they want to book. I just have to get the first few over with and I will over come my fear.

Becki - I'm happy you're on my team too!

Jaclyn, yes, I find that it is very moisturizing and hydrating. I actually have a client who returned the eye xcel because she said it dried out her eyelids. She loves the gold!

The eye xcel is the only eye creme we have that can go all around the ocular bone. The gold and platinum should only go underneath the eye on the ocular bone. Hope this helps:)

Hi Jaclyn-
Great job this weekend! It is so exciting, when your efforts pay off.

Regarding the eye questions - I was told that the gold and platinum eye repairs are just that, repairs. They are designed to repair the damage and prevent future damage, not to moisturize. Again, I was told that in conjunction to the repair product, that using Eye X Cell is recommended to moisturize the eye area. I use the gold at night and it works great, and the Eye X Cell in the am. The gold tends to dry my eye area, so with both, it works great.

Again, great job!

Quick question...I thought as the lines progressed (Gold to Platinum), they were supposed to add MORE moisture because the skin kinda stops (or slows) creating it on it's own. Why is it then, that so many people are finding the Gold to be drying? I don't know if anyone can really answer this, but I wanted to throw it out there!
