Last night a lady called to place an order.
My wife took down all the information and
get her credit card information. When we
went to the Arbonne site to place the order,
we found we could not place it without her
email address and getting her a client #.
We wanted to get her order out last nite
and ended up placing the order ourselves
and giving her our 35% discount.

My question is: What are the ways our
clients can pay? I would appreciate any
advice and ensight any of you have.

Thanks,

Terry and Betty

You could have called the order in and had them put the 35% "commission" on your override check. Or you could have signed her up as a client and used your e-mail address then changed the e-mail addy once you were able to talk to her to get it.

I tried to call Arbonne and after waiting 20+ minutes
just plain hung up. We started to use our email
address to make her a client, but decided that may
not be how it "works". Next time that is what we
will do.

Any other suggestions or ensight on orders and
payment?

Thanks,

Terry & Betty:

Even though you technically filled the order under your ID and received the discount. You should still charge the customer the retail price, and make that commission.

Just my 2 cents.smileys/smiley2.gif

I tried to get the lady to sign up. She said she would
give me some referrals. Perhaps that will be a prepaid
thank you gift. I hope she will "see" the difference in
what I told her was the price and what she actually
paid and will sign up.

We will see.

Good Luck...Not wise to do in the beginning. I made the same mistakes, giving away my discount.

I am going at this for a second time, and will do things totally different.

If I could have signed her up last night without
such a "hazzle" and used her VISA cardand
not given her the discount, I would not have
done it.

To be honest after waiting on the phone for
Arbonne for over 20 minutes, I was not a real
happy camper.

I will be glad when the "resolve things" out in
the home office. I appreciate growth, but it
does tend to get in the way at times.

That is why I am asking NOW. I wish I knew
last night what I now know. Oh, well, such is
life. And life goes on , AND ON. And I am so
Thankful, Thankful.

Your right life does go on...thankfully! I hear ya on the waiting on "hold" thing. Oh, about 2 months ago, I received my order and the facial wash leaked all over. smileys/smiley19.gif I tried to call Arbonne to see if I could get a new one....and I was on HOLD forever! So I gave up!( My boys were getting a bit wildat the same time!)

I am thankful for the growth too and I am so sure it will be worth the wait!

Much success to you and your wifesmileys/smiley2.gif

When you place an order online you CANNOT charge full retail price onto the credit card, it's just not set up that way. It automatically gives the 35% wholesale price. If calling in won't work (long hold time), then how about using the difference in the amount to buy yourself some business aides?smileys/smiley2.gif

A good idea.

One of my consultants did not want to place her order or sign uponline. I wasn't relishing the idea of the hold time so I faxed everything in. She received her order within a week and everything went very smoothly.

When you fax in an order like that I assume you still use a credit card, so was this person more accepting of the fax so that it was not on the net? thanks, I am just curious because I have run into this before but I have never used the fax.

Yes, it was because she did not want her credit card # used over the internet.
