What would you do if you wanted to start doing parties or in-home presentations, but you are ina new city and don't really know anyone yet?

How would you schedule your first five or six parties?

Try neighbors, maybe ladies from your hubby's work, your kids friends' moms, You could do an Open House if you wouldn't mind strangers in your house - put an ad in the paper, hang up flyers to help advertise your Biz, leave Biz cards with tip at restaurant, see if you can leave catalog in your doctors , dentist, hair salon waiting area- If you are able to find some craft shows, fairs etc these are GREAT ways to gain customers ezpecially if you have cash and carry avail , on the spot shopping for the Holidays -

Good Luck , it can be hard but it can be fun too !

Any sort of local community~ For example: library, your child's school, church. Post on any available bulletin board. Run an ad in the newspaper. Do a local craft & vendor show. This isa great time of year, and you will find many. This allows you to introduce your biz to unfamiliar territory, and make friends along the way~smileys/smiley17.gif

My warm market goes beyond my local community. I have friends that live in different states and who have done catalog parties for me. From those, I have gotten repeat orders from those customers/guests~

Thanks for the tips.

It is always good to have alternative methods for meeting people other than those you already know, or if you have recently relocated to a new city.

Thanks

Does your company do fundraising? That is a great way to get your company name out to a lot of people in a hurry.
