Hey Dads,

I have been programming websites for a while now, so I thought I would contribute to the group by offering some answers to your website building questions.

Now, I'm not an expert but I've got a well rounded knowledge of website programming and I do have a degree in Computer Information Systems.

The reason for this post is because I've been asked tons of questions on how to do simple things like...

...How do I insert HTML code
...How do I create a link
...How do I create a Cascading Style Sheet
...How do I create a "Mailto:" link

...And so on

So this section of WAHD's is dedicated to answering those tricky little "How to"s that you face when building a website for your Work At Home Business.

It's an open forum so if you have a better way orimprovement to what's being disscussed please feel free to share!

Let's play Ball! Open for questions...Edited by: viraljumpstart

It would probably make more sense for you to hang around in the web design group. That is where I would go for answers if I had any questions

I have a question that I've been pondering...
Is there any way to pull a flash movie (www.behomefree.biz (http://www.behomefree.biz)) is the movie that I'm looking to use (and I have rights to it for this purpose) and place the movie into my own webpage.

I am looking to use my own autoresponder instead of the Corporate autoresponder which is limited.

Any help would be appreciated..

Sean

Sean, the way to do it is to go to the actual page (http://behomefree.edcgold.com/cp/) not the domain and click "View Source". You should see the code for the movie there. Just copy and paste it into the website you want to display the movie on.

Also, just a quick thought: subscribing to a service that offers that movie and being able to use that movie on your own site may be two different things. In other words, subscribing to the system that offers this movie is not the same as having the rights to display the movie on your own pages.

I hope that assists!

Hey Sean,

Sorry it took so long to respond. I had some biz to take care of. The answer to your question is Adobe flash player. Works like a charm. I use it on my own website to show viral videos. Here is the code for your video. Just copy, paste and walah!...

<embed pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="http://www.my-soft-ware.com/flash/capture_06.swf?FormUrl=http://BeHomeFree.edcgold.com/cp/moreinfo.php?c=9905267 (http://www.my-soft-ware.com/flash/capture_06.swf?FormUrl=http://BeHomeFree.edcgold.com/cp/moreinfo.php?c=9905267)" width="400" height="345" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"></embed>

You can change the width and height attributes above to adjust the size of the video. If you want to center it, just put it inbetween <center>...</center> tags!

Let me know if you need any more help!

Hi Bob,

Thought about that, but it seems that this section is dedicated for WAHD's so being that I am a WAHD I thought I would throw it in here. Hope you don't mind http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

Also, this topic should be focused on "work at home" websites, which I consider a major topic in working at home. I find it hard to get answers out on the web that are geared specifically for things that you would normally find on a "work at home" website. So if we could all share our expierence we can all benefit withour work at home websites.
