Please consider changing the way you accept credit cards from your clients. I am the victim of credit card fraud and it is taking hours to deal with. One thing I have learned is to NEVER write down my credit card number on forms like our BC order forms.
I've been using paypal's invoicing tool and sending emails to my clients who want to pay via credit card. My clients enter their data directly onto paypal's secure site and I don't ever see it. I just get an email when the money is in my account. It's not the ideal scenario because of the delay, and perhaps BC can come up with something better for us. I just didn't want to take the responsibility for having my clients credit card numbers.
My first suspicion for how this happened isanother party plan company's order form...

I'm just curious as to why you don't use Propay? Sorry you've had to deal with that!

Paypal's fees were less. I'm used to Paypal and trust it because I already had an account set up and use it for ebay. Thirdly, I didn't want the responsibility of having my client's cc info. Fourth, I prefer checks, and when I explain my process, the clients who are able to pay with checks will do so. Thus only the clients who would otherwise not purchase are the only ones using the credit card process (which has fees associated with it). I need to explain though that this works for me where the majority of my clients are in my small town. I'm doing a work spa tomorrow but I'm not worried about getting paid since it's my own pediatrician's office. Same with an elementary school I'm doing.

Ok, just so you know... you can send your customer an invoice through Propay. You don't have to get their credit card #. I also use Paypal for Ebay, however, I use Propay with Beauti Control because that's what they want us to do. I am also in a very small town and find that checks or cash is the preferred method of payment. When I go over to Maryville, they prefer CC's.

That really sucks, Elizabeth! DH was a victim of cc faud a few years ago and it's not fun. It was a lot of work on our part and our bank to figure everything out and get it all fixed. He and I both were asked 100 questions before getting anywhere.
Good luck and I hope everything is fixed soon!
