Hi everyone. As many of you know, I had my first show on wed. 9/14 and it went very well. Now my dilema is I have two people who did not attend that say they are going to get their order in by the end of the day for two days now.
Should I go to them and do their order or should I wait and see if they come to me? And if they don't, should I just chalk it up to them not wanting to confront me that they are not interested in buying my product?
These are the things I really need practice on. I don't want to be too timid or too pushy. TIA!!smileys/smiley1.gif

Hi Ann Marie,
Just politely tell them that you need their orders now so that you can close out the party. Don't feel like you are confronting them - you are just offering them the chance to place an order, which they had already expressed an interest in doing!
Go get 'em! smileys/smiley2.gif

Yup, Call them and tell them the order is going in and you were just checking up on them. That is what you do. Like Patty said... you are Offering them your service, not bugging them!

I had to come back and also say. Do Not be SHY about asking them for the order~ That is how you get your sales.
Be upfront and polite."I am calling to see if you were ready to place your order as this needs to be in to the company by 9pm tonight. I want to make sure you were able to get your order included with your hostess, Sally's order. She sure is excited about getting that new XXX product. Thank you so much for attending. Would you be interested in hosting a show as well? You could earn that new XXX for Free!"
Good Luck!

This reminds me of what Belinda Ellsworth said last night at the conference I went to...women are so afraid of being pushy!
You should just call them and like everyone else said, politely tell them that you are getting ready to close the show and wanted to make sure to get their order in.
You are not being pushy!
Congratulations on your first party being a success!

For future reference, if you ever find this happening to you again with any of your future hosts, set a deadline.
For example, if you're at Jane Doe's party on a Friday evening and Jane wants to keep her party open to get a few more outside orders, you would say something such as, "That's great! Let's see, today is Friday, so I will need to submit your party on Wednesday. Therefore, if anyone else wants to place an order, I need their order with payment no later than Tuesday evening."
And, that's that. You can be very nice and sweet about it, but a deadline is a deadline.

I've learned to never expect to be asked....I should always expect to be doing the asking! And ask until they say no! I never expect someone to knock on my door with a bundle of orders or wanting to learn more about being a recruit!
