I'm sure there has been a thread about this at one time or another, but I can't remember one to know where to start looking!
For those of you who have donated baskets to auction off (my particular
event is a golf tournament and fundraiser for my niece's softball
team), what products have you included, or found the "hottest" items to
include as far as getting business or Spas booked? If you include any
literature, what do you include? I figured I would include the Hostess
flier and Spa theme party fliers, but wondered if any of you found
anything else helpful.

I have never done this but for items to include, I would suggest SOH and ER for sure. Then maybe the Therapeutic Bath Minerals and a foot creme. I'm not sure how many items you are looking for. Or maybe the Cabana Girl set by itself. I wouldn't include skin care because you don't know who will win it. ;)
Be sure to include your business card.A gift certificate for a free SpaEscape with 5 friends (or how many you want) and a $ amount in free product would be nice to include also.

When you include the gift certficate for the spa, be sure to include an expiration date on it. I have found that a month or month and a half after the raffle date is very effective. They have time to get the basket and still call you. The shorter the time, the more likely they will call and not forget.
Hope this helps.

baskets are a great way to get rid of overstock as well or discontinued items, but make sure to include current stuff as well and I would definately include a GC for a free spa!!!

One thing that I found really useful for baskets that are being raffled off was including a gift certificate for a skin care set. That way they can contact you and you can get your foot in the door. Include information on our skin care so that they know the benifits that our cleanser, scrub, tonic and moisturizer will bring.
I think trying to get a spa is better...but if nothing else, this provides a great re-order opportunity!

I did a raffle basket a while back and put the entire Herbal Serenity set, plus a SOH in. I WISH I had seen the idea of the GC for a free spa! DUH!

One of mine that was hugely successful was a Margarita basket. It had the whole Margarita line. Also included was an On the Border Margarita mix bucket, salt/sugar mix, plastic margarita glasses, lime candles/ holders, tortilla soup mix, chips and salsa.
It sold way above the price I set because 3 people were fighting over it. If you want to see a picture, send me your email address. I can never seem to get pictures to post here.
