For verification: Do personal use consultants count toward the 4 you need to become a VIP? Do they have to make a qualifying purchase for you to be able to qualify for VIP status?

consultants do NOT have to be qualified for you to be VIP. As my recruiter says, you just need "four warm bodies" http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif Personal use consultants count. You remain VIP as long as you have 4 active consulants on your personal team.

Thats what I thought but wanted to make sure. Thank you.

While on this topic, I had another consultant become inactive starting this month, which takes me down to only three consultants under me now. So, does that mean that I am no longer a Unit VIP? I know the answer is yes, but when I log on to beautinet.com my status still says Unit VIP. I'm wondering if maybe I still stay VIP until she becomes a dropped consultant or is it at the end of this month or maybe it shouldn't be saying that at all and I really won't get the 50% discount thismonth.
Anyone know? TIA

From what I understand and have experienced, when I have dropped down from VIP, it isn't always the next month that your level is changed, but the level is changed at the next quarter of the year. Example, you have four on Jan. 1, but then one drops and is not replaced, your level doesn't change until April 1. This gives you time to recruit someone, and there probably isn't as much paperwork involved for BC. At one time, it may have changed monthly. If anyone else has more information, please share, but this is what I learned a year ago.
It is nice to still have the discount for a little while longer, and it is definitely an incentive to recruit. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

Thanks Nancy. So would that mean that I may stay Unit VIP until August? I sure hope so! :)

If you read in the consultant guide, it will explain about the quarters!

This information was on another board a year ago. It was sent by a regional vice-president. She said that VIPs and Unit Managers have the full quarter to maintain or regain their title. BC runs on a calendar quarter: Jan 1-April 1; April 1 to July 1; July 1 to October 1; October 1 to January 1. Since you were VIP on April 1, you will have until the end of June to recruit so that you have at least 4 by July 1. I really do think they mean April 1 to June 30 and then you will see your current status as of the 1st of July. Does this make sense to you? If not, just let me know, and I will try to explain it another way.
Hope this helps!

You are so very welcome! Best of luck with getting some more recruits. It always seems to be better to have more than 4 in case something like this happens. Been there - done that! Go girl!!!! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif
You can do it!!!

I have had some people drop as well, and I used to get very discouraged about that until I took a good look at the team I had left. All of the "kit-nappers" had dropped and I was left with people who were working the business. So, I may not have a lot of people as numbers are concerned, but the ones I have want to work the business. When I realized that, it made me feel kind of good that those other folks dropped.

tn spa diva, that is a very good way to look at it. I only have one consultant working the business so far but it's nice to know that she is there.
I'm in Alberta, about 2 1/2hours from Edmonton. What part of BC are you from, Shannon? My aunt lives in Vernon and my friend lives in Nanaimo.

I am in Prince George now, and grew up in Parksville (20 mins north of Nanaimo). How have you found BeautiControl? Any advice on how to get started? How long have you been do BC for?

You know, I replied this morning and I see my post isn't here. I'll try again...
I joined BC last April. I live in a very small, very clickycommunitywhere there are 3 or 4 other consultants and a few Arbonne consultants but I still think I am doing ok. Most, but not all, of my shows are in other towns around me. I am doing this more for fun then anything, so I don't get booked up by any means. ;) I am happy where I am at with BC right now. DH works away so right nowme and the boys (we have 4!)are enjoying his home time.
As far as getting started, have you tried having a spa at your home? Make it an exclusive for 'special' women only to attract attention maybe. Or have a Margarita party of Happy Hour party so women can come and soak their feet with a drink in hand. If you have nice weather, have it outside and use a kiddie pool as the foot soak. Then offer an extra set at 30% off for women who book their spa on the spot. Of coarse, don't give the discount until they host their show.
Whatever you do, you will do great! Our products sell themselves! (I always laugh when I say that but it really is true!)
