I have been doing some thinking, reading and asking lots of questions to come up with some businesses I would like to start/get into.


Here are theproducts, hobbiesor companiesthat interest me or I think might sell in my area:


Freshly made candles - I am speaking with someone about the company Enchanted Potions, if you know of any other companies that offer freshly made candles please let me know.

I was trying to find my list of party plan companies from when I was
looking but they don't seem to be bookmarked anymore which is
odd. Anyway, for relaxing I would think any spa type/ bath and
body company would be pretty relaxing. Who doesn't love being

The key is to follow your passion. I would narrow it down a little.


Ask yourself, which company would I be my own best customer for! Which one looks the most fun and would I be the most excited to share with others!


I started my biz because I wanted everything. Because of the want and love of the products, and the benefits it had for my children, I found myself being successful.

WOW you have a wide variety of choices! There are so many great companies out there that match your likes so my suggestion would be to really look at which ones you could see having fun with while at the same time using the products yourself!


As for the travel industry, I have looked into that and if I were to start my own travel business, I would most definitely become an Independent Travel Agent with www.duganstravel.com (http://www.duganstravel.com). The owner has a special website devoted to those who want to start in the travel industry www.travelathome.com (http://www.travelathome.com) that I found full of great information. Be sure to read all the FAQ's on the website to see if the travel industry is for you.


As far as freshly made candles, there are so many great companies but my personalfavorite isWhite Lily. They would also fall under relaxation with their bath/body line.


I would recommend that you purchase a candle and/or bath and body productsfrom each co. you're looking for (or see if they offer a sample) so you can find the best fit for you.

Yikes! You definitely need to narrow your search down a bit! I agree 100% with Debbie - go with what you love the most. That way you will have the most fun AND success with whatever you choose.

We sell products like salt scrub, shower gel, etc.

We also have a line of relaxation items (a CD, massage gel, etc). Often time we focus our shows on relaxation and massage.

Thanks to all of you. I have love the ideas, advice and checking out all the opportunties.


I know I had a lot listed, but I couldn't make up my mind which I would like to do. One reason is, I live in an area that one or more wouldn't sell, but 30 miles up or down the road it would, so I am trying to cover my bases, as well as working with companies and products I believe in.


My dream business(es) will be online. So I can stay home or travel with a laptop so I can check on my business and do business from anywhere.
