I am intrigued by this company, I think they have some beautiful
things! Could someone please contact me with more detailed information?

Specific questions I have:

Start up costs

What is needed to be active

Quotas

How much are consultant web sites

Minimum Orders

Consultant personal purchase discounts

Commissions/sales/recruiting

Keep commission up front or pay company first?

Company easy to deal with?

Shipping times/How long from ordering?

Anything else I should know.

Thanks!

Hi Cheryl!

Right now, start up costs include $29 to ship your HomeStudio and tax. When you sell $1000 in your first 35 days, you are not charged the $99 for your Studio. That's a goal easily accomplished in 2-3 shows, and a very rewarding one at that! It also sets you on your way into our FasTrac program, which allows you to earn HomeWares and recognition for the first 3 months of your business.

To stay active, you need to submit one show of $150 every three months. We have no quotas to receive your personal commission. To receive team and personal bonuses, however, some sales minimums do apply.

Our consultant web site is free for your first three months and $11.95/month after. Our HomeStyle Specialist site is a FANTASTIC and free resource. Everything you need to run your business and network with HSS's across the country!

As far as minimum orders go, a hostess must have $150 in sales to be considered a HomeShow and get credit for her efforts.

Each month I can order anything I want at 20% off on my supply order. When I sell $1000 in a month, I can select up to $100 in retail value at 50% off the next month. With so many other ways to earn new HomeWares for our studios, they encourage us to limit our spending to keep more money in our pockets.

Personal commission is 20-30%. Normal team & personal bonuses are up to 6%. BUT WAIT! Would you like to earn 15% on your personally mentored HSS's?! Oh yes, 15% bonus AND you can earn an extra 10% when your HSS's mentors. It's called the Early Money Bonus Program, and it's only for a limited time. It's a GREAT time to start with AHA!

I'm not sure I understand your next question. We receive our commission through direct deposit. Let me know how I can clarify that for you.

Is AHA easy to deal with? Oh my yes! This is my third DS company. It's a family run business and I feel like part of the family. It's something that you "feel" when you become part of the company, but it's almost difficult to explain.

We tell our guests to expect 14 to 21 business days from the date the hostess closes for the arrival of the HomeWares. (It's never taken that long, but it's better to underpromis and overdeliver).

There's so much I could say! I'm a team leader and I've been with AHA for just over a year. Myhusband even loves the company! One of the greatest things is that even though I am running my own business, I have the support of a wonderful, nationally recognized team. We are all in this together and we support each other in every aspect of our businesses.

What are some of the things you'd like to accomplish with AHA? I'd love to chat with you about that sometime. I can give you a better idea of what it might take to reach your goals.

If you have any other questions after reviewing my website, feel free to email me at leah@new.rr.com. I also have free long distance so it's no problem at all for me to give you a call.

Take Care!

Well, to be honest I am not sure what if any my goals would be. I just
came across this company and had never really looked at it before. I
love the look of the products. I am busy with my Jafra business,
but I was still very interested in this one too. Are you allowed to be
in another DS company AND At Home America?

As far as my question you weren't sure of, what I was asking was: Do
you submit the entire order ($$$) to At Home America and then they pay
you by check the next month? Or do you keep your percentage up front
and THEN pay for the order?

One more (actually two more) questions: Can you set up a booth at a
faire or festival such as a home show or bridal show and can you sell
products at the show or only book parties and take orders?

So if orders are 21 days out then the final order date for Xmas
delivery would be about Dec. 1st? Is that about right? Thanks Leah

Is there a place where I can read the consultant agreement?

Yes, you can do two DS companies. In fact, it comes up often on our bulletin boards. One HSS in my "family" also sells Mary Kay. It is fine as long as the companies aren't too close in product line, which only makes sense.

Yes, we submit the entire order. AHA recommends that we have guests pay by MC, Visa, or Discover, or a check written to the hostess. Then, the hostess pays us for any outstanding orders at the time of close. But each HSS can handle it how it works best for them. Some have customers write checks out directly to the HSS, which eliminates some hastle for the hostess, but puts more risk on the HSS. We are paid bi-weekly, for the previous two week period, and all bonuses are paid along with the final payday for that month. In other words, on the 15th of September, I'll receive commission for personal sales from the 16th through the 31st of August, along with personal and team bonuses for the entire month of August. I hope this makes sense!

AHA encourages us to reach out to new hostesses and guests by participating in fairs and expos. We can take orders, sell cash & carry, book and mentor. In fact, I'm doing a bridal expo at a local mall at the end of the month with a few of my downline. When you participate in open houses or fairs, just make sure you clarify with the event sponsor that selling can take place. Some locations, like libraries, typically won't allow you to "sell" there, but we can meet to discuss selling or mentoring, or to book parties. You could even promote BOTH businesses if you feel like stretchingyourself a little.

As far as Christmas goes, we have a sales cut-off date, usually around the 10th. And everything is guaranteed delivery by Christmas. As we enter into the busiest selling season of the year, the shipping can take a bit longer. But lately we've been seeing turn-around within a week. Hostesses across the country have been very happy lately with some shows shipping in as little as 3 days. But again, under-promise to over-deliver, especially when the busy season is just beginning.

I'm pretty sure I can email you a copy of the agreement. I'll check your Jafra site for the address.

Have you seen a catalog Cheryl? If you like the look of the products online, just wait until you see a catalog! I'd be happy to mail you our year-roundandFall & Holiday catalogs. If nothing else, they're just to fun to browse through!

Hi there,

I'm a consultant with Celebrations by Lillian Vernon and considered AHA several months back before I signed up with Celebrations. I LOVE their products and know that the consultants around here (KY) do very well! I'm moving to a new home in Oct and am doing a party swap with a local rep! Can't wait!

Good luck in your search!

I used to be with AHA too and I agree, their products are awesome! The one thing you need to think about is...can you submit $1,000 in retail sales in the time allotted? I didn't...and then they cashed my check.smileys/smiley2.gif

The people in my area did not buy the "average home show" amount that the company advertises.
