I am wondering are potential reps allowed to do an open for business party to earn their kit? Its not so much for me but there is a girl I know who wants to join under me once I join who cannot afford the kit right off hand. I didnt know what to tell her because I dont know for myself. If anyone can help me with this so I can tell her yay or nay that would be great. Thank you :)

You cannot earn the kit for free. But, if there is a family member who can loan her the money to start, (you can not pay it for her) she can schedule her starting show to introduce family and friends to her new business and when she earns her commisson off of that show, she can pay them back.

That is exactly what I would do if I were her. Or..... if you wanted to be nice.. HEE HEE..
You could have a show for her, with all of her friends and family at the very end of themonth. Give her the commission from that show to purchase her kit and you take the hostess credit.

Thats what I was thinking but shes in Michigan and well Im in Tennessee so it makes it kinda hard. But......... Since I do have family up there, I can set something up for when I go and see them to do a party for her. That way she would know what to do as well :) Thanks for the ideas ladies.
