ever used Sex on the Beach as a sample. I am making samples and I love the sex on the beach sent I just am not sure if it is appropriate to use cause of the name?

I absolutely use that product as samples all the time! I love it, and the prospects and customers get a giggle out of it. :)

I haven't had a single person make a negative comment about the name. I think it's named after the rum drink - and it smells like a tropical drink.

So it's named very apprpriately.

It's a wonderful scent, and the name is a head-turner.

I say - go fo it!

I always have a jar on my table for sale. I do alot of shows at churchs. People will come over and pick up that candle and say "sex on the beach" why your at a church! I tell them "you picked it up, not me" & giggle at them.
I have sold 1 at each show.

lol well Deborah if you can sell it at a church I should be fine lol. I hope everyone gets a giggle out of it lol.

I let Ashley handle all the Sex on the Beach talk & giggles with the ladies! She just came by the other night for one to take to her bank so they could all smell it. Small Southern town...I'm just not going there, lolsmileys/smiley36.gif

I will share a cute story with you of what happened once with this scent.

I was doing a craft show, and of course had my jars on display, and Sex on the Beach was one of the scents that I had sitting there.

This woman and her husband walks up to my table, they were in their 80's I would say, and she picked up the jar, read the label, shot me a smile, and then hands it to her hubby and says , "do you like the smell of this scent?" He takes it from her, reads the label, and says "I'm not sure, its been so long since I've had any, I forgot what it smells like." http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

We all started laughing and got the biggest joke out of this. They did buy it though, and have bought another one since, so maybe it got things moving again for them, who knows! lol......

If our candles bring couples closer together, then whatever scent works, is good to me! lol........................

Tammy that is soo funny. I would have been so red lol. THat is great though that everyone seems to get a good response from the name. I am going to use it. I made my scent samples last night so I am hoping that it at least puts a smile on peoples face lol. I also have a jar of it that I will put out on the table. Thank you guys so much for the stories and help.

The Sex on the Beach is actually one of my favorite scents -- very tropical and fruity!

Yes it was such a funny moment! I'm sure I did turn red and did get the biggest laugh. You gotta love our older folks! I just had to share that story and glad it gave you guys a chuckle for the day also! lol.....

Kari Andersen tells a funny SOB story...when she first started with the company she and her son drove 600 miles to do a craft fair at a farmers type of market...the first day didn't go well and her son told her (I think he was 11 at the time) that her technique was "all wrong" and that she had to get out there and mingle with the people...If you know Kari or have heard her speak at a Fling you know she is a very vivacious, engaging gal! So she got out there among the farmers and told them she had this great candle called "sex on the beach" and that she was all out of "sex on the tractor" and I guess they loved it and she sold a ton of candles! Of course, hearing kari tell it is a lot of fun and I'm sure I didn't do it justice...but if ya come to a fling I'll bet she'll be happy to recount the story! LOL
