We have been trying to get ourselves into Craft fairs, but many times they say it all has to be handmade.
Has anyone come across this problem and how do you handle it?

Most of the time they won't let you in unless it's a combined show w/retail vendors or just a regular vendor show. I've been told that ifI made gift baskets they would probably let me in, but I'm sure if you did the votive roses that would count as a craft. They may not allow you to have all your items on display, but surely you could hand out biz cards, catalogs, brochures and samples along with the roses and baskets. Couldn't hurt to ask. All they can do is say no.

All they can do is say no. I have been allowed in at craft shows when it's around the gift giving time of year. Their reasoning was people would be shopping for gifts and candles make a great gift. Who was I to argue with that logic.......lol
so you may have better luck around Thanksgiving and on. You might be able to pull it off for Mothers Day........just use the gift giving idea!!!!!
