Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering how far you have driven/will drive to a party. Has it been worth your time, gas, etc. when you have traveled far? The reason I ask is this... Taste of Gourmet is great company, and there are only two active consultants in the whole state of WI. I want to get the word about my business and the company I am with and I wonder if it would be worth my efforts to travel to places a distance to do tasting parties. I have a few people who live about 4 hours away and they are exploring the business opp and looking to host a tasting first before they decide. I have considered going for a few days- a week to do all of them day after day. What do you think? I may have a place to stay for free (a family member) and someone to come with to watch the baby (1 on Sunday). That way I do not have to be away for very long- the babysitting is also free. Would you do it? What stipulations if any would you put on your hostess/hotesses? A guest limit, etc?
Thank You all So Much,
Melissa- Taste of Gourmet Consultant #28244

funny you should ask.. i just posted on midwest consultants that I've been asked to go to Waukesha b/c someone is interested in the biz opp and wants to host a party. I figure if she's a potential consultant, its worth it, but it is an hour and a half away. I'm going to try and schedule it so i can drive back and forth in one day, or i figured if any of my midwest or any other WI buddies wanted to host a party, I could do 2.
My co offered to also reimburse me for my gas in order to help me out!
I would put the stipulation that at least 10-12 people need to be there, and she would have to do a little more prep work b/c i can't travel with everything. if you can swing it and get free child care, etc. go for it.. it might be worth expanding your biz! i'm traveling so far north and west right now.. i'm begging for consultants LOL

I drive about 2 hours to hold parties. I do this because my family and friends all live down there. So, I go on weekends and hold a couple of parties. I, however, have people to visit and free boarding when I go. I do not make enough to warrant a hotel room though so if having to spend a night and having to get a hotel, I would think it would not be worth it. I make enough to cover the gas I use plus some though.
