Hello Ladies~
I noticed that this folder is for various candle representatives and thought I would trymy luck here! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
I have a girlfriend that was asking me if I knew anything about the Partylite Compensation Plan. I usedsome of their votive and tealight candles, but know nothing of 'the business side'.
My friend was looking pretty specifically for the following:
1. The cost of signing up as a consultant
2. The minimum amount/frequency to order that is required to stay active
3. The discount level(s)
Apparently, she went to a party and was interested, but not with the person who held the party. She just wanted some basic information and I thought of this board, so if anyone is a Partylite Consultant - or maybe even knows about their plan - if you could take a quick second and reply to this post, that would be great.
Thanks!

HI,
Have you tried going to a reps website? They should have the info you are looking for on there. Maybe you can call their corporate office and refer you to a local representative.
Good luck to you!

Thank you, for those who have responed to the post. I still was not able to get all the information for my friend, but it was worth a try!
To the gal who sent me a PM from Mia Bella - I am new to the MB and the messages - so I inadvertantly deleted all messages in my inbox, instead of the one message I intended, so that is why I did not reply! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif

I went tp a Partylite party last night and this is what I was told:
1. The cost of signing up as a consultant
Free with a starter party of $350 in sales
2. The minimum amount/frequency to order that is required to stay active
not sure
3. The discount level(s)
I think it's 25% commission and a 50% discount on personal items.
All in all it looks like a great company and I am very tempted to join, but I'm already so busy!

To the right of the messages above the delete buttons their are little boxes, make sure their is only a "check" in the box you intend on deleting, before you hit delete.smileys/smiley1.gif
Hope this helps!smileys/smiley16.gif

Hi Susan~
Thank you! I think I figured out what I did wrong. I would only check the box of the message that I wanted to delete, but the default button was 'delete all' not 'delete selected item'. I appreciate your willingness to help!

spa 5, I am not sure if you have received the answers you are looking for, but if not or for anyone else who might check this thread for the info......I am no longer an active PL consultant, but was in the past.
1. The cost to sign up and receive a starter kit is FREE. You do need to hold a qualifying show, which is $350 as stated earlier. You get all the paper supplies needed to hold the first few shows (invitations, order forms, etc) and enough product for a nice display. Also a variety of candle scents and sizes and samples of all candle fragrances.
2. To remain "active" you need to submit $500 a month. That is "active" status according to the company. However, I have found that submitting any order does allow you to order sampe prodcuts the following month. You are able to purchase some additional retired products for incentives when submitting $500 the previous month.
3. As a consultant you receive a 50% discount on all prodcuts (candle holders and such) for sample items. So you can order one of each at 50% off. If you want additional items or for personal gifts and such, the discount is 33%. You receive a 50% discount on as much wax as you need since that is consumable. You also are able to take advantage of the hostess specials at the hostess prices for the current or coming months (there are some exceptions to this, and they announce what hostess specials are eligible for consultants to buy at that price and what they cannot).
Hope this info posted here helps someone. I have often wondered why there is not a PartyLite forum on here. Good Luck
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me. I am no longer actively doing this, so I would be glad to give my unbiased opinion. It is a great company, but as with any thing there are always some things you like and some you dont. amarion911@yahoo.com (amarion911@yahoo.com)

I see that in the above post to remain active means submitting $500.00. However as also stated before you can still order supplies as long as some activity is turned in. PartyLite has this requirement so that people don't buy the products at 50% off or more and then turn around and sell them on ebay and such for full price. That is illegal.
I am a PartyLIte conusltant and have been for5 years now and love it. If your friend would like more information, please have her e-mail me at dcazacandles@yahoo.com.
Good Luck and have a fabulous day!
