Get involved with groups that allow you to meet new people (book club, playgroups, MOMS Club, MOPS, etc). Don't make it all about @rbonne though- it will come up in casual conversation and if people are interested you can follow up with them later.

I joined a women's networking group, but that takes time to make the contacts. I have also gone to some small bridal shows and health and wellness expo. which gave me some great contacts!

If your area has a Welcome Wagon business, it might be worthwhile to join so that you can distribute flyers to all the new residents and new parents in the area.
