HI!
I know people are looking for ways to donate to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. After talking with my neighbor, whose family has been told to leave their home, grab what they can, and go...and after seeing this image on TV...I decided that I needed to do something. So I have come up with a Hurricane Katrina Fundraiser.
If you visit www.appleblossomcandles.com (http://www.appleblossomcandles.com/) and click on Hurricane Relief, you will find a special candle. For every candle sold $5.00 will go to a major organization (The Red Cross) which is a BIG part of helping those affected by the Hurricane. I read on their site that although they appreciate actual donations of clothing, food, etc....they need monetary donations instead. So I figured if we can get 100 of these candles sold...that is $500. I know myself, I don't have a ton of extra cash lying around, so this way each person can help a little bit...and a little bit turns into alot.
This is not an ad in anyway shape or form and I am sorry if you feel that it is, it is not meant to be an ad. I know that there are people here who are looking for ways to donate, and I am hoping that we can all come together and donate a larger sum.
Whatever I have collected after 2 weeks, will get donated asap and I will keep the website updated!
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
Thanks bunches

Any money we can raise for these ppl is going to help.
I have decided to donatea portion of myprofits for the month of September to the Salvation Army, and my son`s Scout Troop is planning a major fundraiser.
I believe that White Lily will come out with a Helping Hands candle also. smileys/smiley32.gif

Thank You Terry....and you are right, anyway to raise money will help them out.
The Salvation Army is a great place to donate and I commend you for donating part of your sales. I am going to make a personal donation as well when I send the donation in 2 weeks. I wanted to do this after viewing the horrible things on TV.
All the consultants of WLC do an excellent job of fundraising, and I am sure if the company comes out with a candle to help Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, that you will do the same excellent job that you have done in the past.
Take Care and happy fundraising : )
