I hope I'm not being paranoid, but the gas stations can not get gas. I just came back from getting my car filled. My friends dad owns a gas place in SC, and she warned us at a meeting tonight that her dad can't get gas. The owner of the local gas station confirmed it, and I think he said some places have sold out.

I also bought a 5 gallon thing to hold gas in case someone in our family gets stranded.

We may be taking advantage of online parties for a bit!

This is me talking from being at the station and talking to the owner, not a circulated email. smileys/smiley5.gif

I've actually gotten emails from my team members who are also experiencing gas stations running out.

So go out tonight and get filled up! Take a gas can! smileys/smiley2.gif

I was talking to my neighbor tonight, and on the way home she saw gas prices at $3.35 a gallon! ARGH! I dread the thought of how this is going to effect everyone. I stopped and got gas on the way home for a mere $2.67 a gallon. I can only imagine what the prices will be by the weekend.

I haven't seen it myself but as soon as I came to work this morning I started hearing all the chatter...

Gas prices around here jumped from about $2.50 - $2.55 to up to $2.99 - $3.03!!! And this was overnight! Thank God I had a full tank to begin with!

When is this going to stop? I swear it's going to crush our own economy!

Okay, off my soap box!

Take care all!
Anita :-)

I have one live party booked in the middle of September, but that's at
my house. I think I'll be doing a ton of online parties LOL

I don't go out often anyway, I can't drive myself. My husband on
the other hand is an ambulance driver and I'm sure his company will be
affected.

DH and I both filled up yesterday and I begged DH not to let his gas guzzler truck go below 1/2 tank to avoid me having a breakdown when I write the amount in the checkbook.smileys/smiley5.gif

They're expecting gas to go even higher by this weekend and could go up to $4/gallon! smileys/smiley18.gifsmileys/smiley3.gif

We should have an organized Christmas shopping club amongst ourselves. No driving, No malls and we support each others business'!

I've not a clue how to set it up, but I'm sure someone does. I'd be happy to help however I can.

Now, there's an idea, Sarah! I have no idea how to do that either, though!

I have to say, I will use gas prices as an "incentive" to book parties - "Do all your holiday shopping at home and save on gas!" smileys/smiley2.gif
