What suggestions do you have for doing online parties. I want to
get my Discovery Toys business off to an awesome start, but I don't
really know a lot of people. I was thinking of having a few
people from some of the various WAH boards I belong to host an online
party. They'd invite whomever they want and they'd get the
hostess credit. But I'm not sure of how to handle an online party!

Hey Gwynne!
I held 1 online mystery hostess party as a fundraiser with Tupperware - sent out the invites and received 1 order - I know some folks can do online parties where games are played and they chat - TW does not have that kind and I am not 'puter smart enough to figure out how to do it ! Perhaps someone who knows more will share with us both!

I love online parties! I have had pretty good success with them. I look at online parties and online vendor events as a way to network mostly (sales are good too!) but once people get to know you, what you have to offer, etc they are more likely to refer you to others and even purchase from you.
