View Full Version : My turn for Rally

Okay, it is my turn to brag about my first experience at Rally 2005!
I have been with Home Interiors and Gifts for about 9 months now. I think I am about to give birth!! They challenged us to a post rally challenge of 10 parties. I have 7 scheduled parties so far this month! Exciting. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gifFriday was high energy. Prizes, recognition, a play. High energy.
Our CEO was there on Friday night "partying" with us. He is so down to earth. He did not stay behind the stage waiting to come and say something to us, he was out dancing before the party started, was giving $20.00 away by the hundreds, he pulled out his saxaphone for some improve sax playing. I don't know if your CEO was at your seminar, rally, convention, whatever you call yours, but I never would have thought that he would be right there with us. I would have thought he would have been behind the scenes. I was most impressed with that.
What did I learn at my Rally? The 3 "P"s of business: Personality, Product and Persistence --- Always dress business-like. You never know who you are going to run in to. Always answer the phone with a smile, you never know if it is a customer calling. Treat your customers like friends.
Know your product line.
Turn your nos into yeses. Even if the no just means putting together a basket of products to take into work with her and she comes back with $100.00 worth of orders. That is still money in your pocket.
Why are you in the business, Mike asked us. Some people said for the money. Mike said you are in it for the wrong reason. There are benefits and money is good but we should have a goal and attain that goal. We should be in our business for what the money we make can bring us. I want a mini van. He said cut out a picture of what your goal is and how much sales it would take to buy that goal.
I did get to walk across the stage one time when I earned so much $$$ in sales for our push week before Rally. I was ALMOST to the next catagory up but that is okay. Next year!
Anyhoo, I am on fire. I have on my way to accomplish that 10 party challenge in September. I will have a great christmas this year!! My goal is to almost pay cash for my van! I am on fire!smileys/smiley4.gif
Thanks for listening. I could go on and on and on.... Oh, it was also mentioned, i don't know if it was by Mike or a Director that if someone says they can find it cheaper somewhere else, try to service them the best you can with whatever the DO order from you because they will be back and order those "cheaper from some other place" items because they won't get the service from "some other place" that they can get from you.
Okay. I am done (for now.)smileys/smiley32.gif

Hi Rachel,
I am happy you had such a GREAT time. It sounds like it made a HUGE impression on you. From personally dealing with you I would say that you already exhibit the 3 P's in your business. As far as the new vehicle you are getting I am right their with you. I went to the dealership with my family and we took a picture in front of the Suburban that I want. It is framed on my desk!

THANKS Kimberley!! I appreciate the positive there. I do try my best. I am even dressed in "business" so that I can keep exhibiting my professional attitude! Let me know when your merchandise arrives. I am anxious to know how long it will take to arrive. I just checked and the merchandise was shipped. Thanks again!
Rachel
Thanks, Anita. I am gonna keep the candle burning! (Pardon the pun)

Rachel-Woohoo!!! Glad to hear that your convention was so motivating!! It'sfunny how just walking (or in my case dancing smileys/smiley9.gif)across the stage can feel so rewarding!! It's makes you feel so importantwhen you are recognized for your accomplishments. I don't get any of that at home. I mean no one claps for me and gives me a medal for making dinner, cleaning the toilet , playing taxi mom, helping out at the kids school ect. so when you get the recognition from your peers youjust get so pumped and motivated!!!!
BTW-Our CEO, the owner of TTV and the President of the Company were there every minute of our convention.I think that is important and it shows what the company thinks about their consultants. And how much they support and appreciate them!
Well-Here's to a fantastic September for yousmileys/smiley20.gif! Good luck achieving your goals!!!
Cheers!

WAY TO GOOOOO! You rock!
Sounds like you learned alot! Thank you for sharing!
Our CEO rode in on a bike! She's hilarious and always mingles. It's nice to feel close to her.
They offered a car this year that we can earn! For my team meeting next week, we are going to the lot!
I'm glad you had a great time!
