I've just signed onto Discovery Toys today and for my first party I'm
hosting it myself. While I could get the hostess credit and free
toys for myself I'm going to have a Mystery Hostess Party.
The way I'm doing this is each guest will get a ticket for doing
certain things. I'm going to buy a big roll of those two stub
raffle ticket things. They'll get tickets for:
RSVP
Show up on time
Show up at all
Bring your invite with you
Book a party
Every $10 you order gets you a ticket
Bring a friend
Every question they ask about the product
Every question they ask about the opportunity
Make an appointment to discuss the opportunity
This could work for any direct sales/party plan company. You can add different things that they can win tickets for two.
Towards the end of the evening I'll have a drawing and the Grand Prize
Winner gets all of the hostess credit, and so all the free toys and
half off toys!
So has anyone else done something like this?

I'm planning one for Sept 15th, our new catalog goes into effect the next day! I've never done one before, but my plan sounds very similar to yours. I'm hoping for a good turnout. Good luck with yours!

I have done these before and they are really fun! Usually a great
turn out and great sales because of the chance to get credit or win the
hostess prize or how ever you decide to do it. I like doing these
a lot!

I'm thinking of setting up some online/chat parties as mystery hostess
parties too. I need to get six parties in my first four weeks,
but I don't know that many people! So I'm going to post here and
at a couple of other boards inviting people to a mystery hostess online
party!

I am doing a big open house/mystery hostess next month as well. I am going to have small raffles throughout the day, then I am going to draw for 3 big prizes, $10 in books, $25 in books, and my grand prize winner gets $100.00 in books smileys/smiley17.gif
