I found this question on another message board and thought the answers given were awesome! Here's the question:

If you won the lottery, would you still keep doing direct sales? Do you love your company THAT much?

YES I WOULD but I would donate all my commission to help homeless animals and people!

My answer is I would definately continue with Urban Botanic--it is SO much fun!! It is definately a passion and one of the reasons I do love it so much is because it is "me" and not necessarily for a paycheck. It is nice to have something for me that doesn't include mommy or wife duties!!

So, if I won the lottery I would have plenty of money for marketing and that's what I would do. Plus, if money were not an object, my team would have meetings in exotic locations--expenses paid by me. I would "hire out" all the parts of the business that I do not like--recordkeeping, etc. One fun thing could be to "donate" custom fragrances for the Hollywood award show gift paks! Actually, I would rather do that for Nashville stars, but that's me.

Of course, money being no object--I would donate to charitable causes.

Oh, so would I, but I would become a complete political
philanthropist... talk about using romance to change the world!

I definitely would still continue with Watkins because I love the products and the business and woudn't want to deprive my customers of the wonderful products we have. Besides I meet a lot of great people and make new friends through my business. :)

I would also donate to charity causes as well.

I would most definitely stay with Latasia. Like Angie, I would use some of the money for marketing and spoiling my team rotten! I would give the majority of it to churches and other Christian organizations that are out there feeding and clothing and adopting those with needs around the world.

Of course, I'd pay off all of our bills, buy my dream car and build a new home and put up for Cort's college and set up a trust fund for him too.

You know, when I first got into direct sales, it was for the money. And if you had asked that same question when I was with one of my previous companies, my answer would be completely different from what it is now. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
No amount of money could replace the good feelings I get when I introduce someone to Heritage Makers and help them create their own storybooks. I know I'm making a real difference in people's lives... teaching them how to create a family heirloom that will preserve their family's stories for generations to come. You can't put a price on that. Don't get me wrong, the money's great http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif but there's SO much more benefit to it than just that.

Blessings,
Christy

LOL, I forgot to mention though. I'll never win the lottery because I don't play it.

I would definitely continue in direct sales and would probably do much better because there would be no pressure. While the focus is to help as many people as possible achieve their dreams and to introduce others to the wonderful products that direct sales offer, we are still trying to create a lifestyle of freedom...including financial freedom. Winning the lottery would give me the financial freedom so I could devote myself solely to helping others.

I would absolutely stay with my company! I love the products too much not to be a part of it!

I have often heard that the happiest people are those that when they win the lottery don't really change anything about their lifestyles. I agree with everyone else's postings. I would invest my winnings in my own business. How exciting would that be?! It would be a joy to be able to help others to reach their goals with money not being an issue.

Well Angie, I guess I'm in the minority here. I'd quit selling Urban Botanic, but I'd still buy the heck out of it and I'd come to you for all my custom fragrance needs. Plus, I'd hook you up with all my nouveau riche friends who would also need Fragrance Designers!

Yes I would stay on with Noah's Ark Workshop because I generally enjoy working with people and with children. It's something I can call my own.
