About Us
The Greeting Cake company was started in May of 2004 by Stay-at-Home entrepreneur, Bernadette Soehner. Expecting her fifth baby boy she wanted a job she could work from her home. With the help of her husband, family and friends with an professional kitchen, she was able to start The Greeting Cake Company and began selling to friends and family.
Mother's Day was a great time for cakes. Bernadette sold 25 of them her first month in business. With Direct Sales in her blood she thought the idea would be great for others wishing to work from home. When a friend said she'd sign up to sell them Bernadette knew she was on the right track. Within a month The Greeting Cake Company was online and the first distributor had been signed. By July of 2004 the company boasted eight distributors and by August 2004 the number of distributors had soared to over 350.
Bernadette's husband Stan would work his full time job and the couple would spend their evenings juggling homework, baths and cakes. Bernadette's parents, sister and brother-in-law soon became her cake assemblers as the couple processed orders. In no time "pre-school" moms, looking for something to do while the kids were in school, joined Bernadette in her basement to assemble and ship Greeting Cake orders.
After only a year as a home based business the company moved to their current location with 7 employees and 2 packers commissioned to pack the cake mix. The company now has over 1250 distributors with requests to open in Canada and Australia. Thousands of cakes are now sold per week and the company is now developing new products and lines for their distributors to sell.

It depends on where you live or where you are having it shipped.
