Hello everyone,
My name is Amanda and I am brand new to the board. I would like to join one of the scrapbooking companies but I don't know how to decide on a company. I have never been to a scrapbooking party, but I know I love scrapbooking, and I think I would be a good consultant. How did you guys decide which company to work for? Thank you so much for your help.

I chose CTMH based on a few factors: I love their products, they have unique products (some companies only sell things which I can buy at my local Michaels, so I didn't see that as useful or unique to others), and there were not as many CTMH consultants in my area as there were the other competitors).
Try them out, see which one you like best, check to see how many consultants there are and then go for it.
hth!

Hi Amanda,
Have you considered Creative Memories? I am a consultant with them.I originally joined just to keep my own stock up but found that the products sell themselves. Fall is the best time to sign on as parents are preserving their summertime memories as the kids go back to school, and christmas is just around the corner!! They put out great incentives for consultants and for customers!
Good luck with your search!!

Hi Amanda-
I don't know if you are still looking for a Scrapbook Company to sign up with...I signed up with TLC (Topline Creations). I have found them to be really flexible in what they will allow their Independent Consultants to do in regards to building their businesses. That was a main selling point for me. Another thing was that there were no minimum selling requirements. I love the product, and only have to make a $25 order every 6 months to stay active. There really is no pressure, but ALOT of support! Hope this helps-if you did decide on a company, I'd be curious so hear which one? http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

Hi Lauren,
I will be very honest with you, I haven't had a moment to sit down in about a month. My husband is in the Navy and was sent out to sea for 2 weeks, at the same time my ex-husband was trying to take me back to court for custody of our daughter. (he hates to see me happy, and has to try and make me miserable...LoL) In the middle of my older two children starting football, and cheerleading. And just to make sure my youngest didn't feel left out she got diagnosed with that acid reflux disorder. I am hoping that things will start to settle down now that my husband is home and my ex-husband has been laughed out of court again.(this is the 4th time since we divorced that he has taken me to court) Anyway sorry I was rambling... I will let you know as soon as I figure out what I am going to do. Thank you for your help I will definitely check out TLC. Do they have a website?

Amanda-
Sounds like you have had a lot going on-I have a friend going through the same custody-type circumstances, so I can empathize! You are welcome to check out TLC through my consultant website link:www.topline-creations.com/lhaugh (http://www.topline-creations.com/lhaugh) There you'll find initial details about the different opportunities available thru TLC. You can access the online catalog thru the "shop" link on the left side of my page.
I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have, or to send you more detailed information. You can PM me, or email me at inplainview05@yahoo.com If you love scrapbooking, it might be worth singing up just to get the 25% discount. Lots of options!
Let me know what you think-

Wow sounds you you have a lot going on right now....I can relate my ex just popped back up recently to try to make me miserable (we have 2 daughters he'd love to have custody of LOL) Any way it was a long ordeal but we got through it and it sounds like you are getting through it too! Glad your hubby was able to come home for support.
Anyways, I just noticed your post about scrapbooking companies and thought I would tell you about Leaving Prints. They are a part of the DSA (direct sales association) and have great products that are exclusive to the Independent Instructors! They have a very low startup cost of $25 and you are not required to make a minimum monthly purchase. If you would like more info please email me at emily3247@sbcglobal.net and you can also checkout my website at http://www.myheartfeltmemories.com Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Amanda
I am also new to the board and what a great way to communicate with other moms that want to work at home and be with their kids. I am also new to HERITAGE MAKERS here in Calif. I totally gravitated to this co. of course because of their values, but oh my goodness, also because of my 2 loves digitalphotography and desktop publishing.....
I agree with HERITAGE MOM, this is now a great opt for those that love to do scrapbooking. I have always wanted to, but have never made the time to, with the new online way of scrapbooking and the way things are moving in this direction, I wanted to catch the wave.
I also work in a photo store and can see the way things are moving.Scrapbooking is here to stay, you just have to decide which way you would like to preserve your memories. Scrapbooking of Storybooking.
Good Luck on your adventure to finding a fit for you.
If you would like more info, either e-mail HERITAGE MOM OR Myself

Amanda-
Sounds like you are getting a lot of really good information. Every company has its perks. I think another important thing is you have to like the products-There are going to be different reasons that each representative signed up with their company. When it boils down to it, you have to decide what you are looking for in a company, in a product, and then choose which one seems to meet your needs and your interestssmileys/smiley2.gif
I have a sheet somewhere that comparessome of the different scrapbook companies. If you would like me to email you a copy, please PM me here with your email address. Really though, it depends on your interests in the end.
