After two years and four months of trying to have a baby, it's finally happened.

We just found out this morning - I hardly didn't believe the test when I saw it! Still doesn't seem real. My husband still doesn't believe it - he's telling people "we think we're pregnant" - it's kinda cute actually. He's still in shock I think. My mother's already gone out and bought baby clothes! smileys/smiley36.gif

Jen, that is wonderful!!! Congratulations! It is hard to stay away from baby clothes. My friends sat on me for 2 years while we were waiting for Julia to come home.

Thanks Ladies! It's still doesn't feel real yet. I'm sure it will once morning sickness kicks in (I've felt nauseous but nothing worse yet).

We finally this winter decided to turn the spare room (known as the future baby's room) into an office. We painted and everything. I kept saying this is a surefire way to end up needing a nursery and it was!

CONGRATS!!!!!!! HOW EXCITING :) We tried for 6 years and had six losses before my son, so I know all about waiting :D Then 7 months after Zachary was born we found out we were expecting Sophia :) Now we have been trying again for a little over a year.


I am so excited for you. You will have to keep us posted on how you are feeling :)

I'm actually feeling pretty good - except I'm really tired (I thought it was just taking a while to "recover" from Leadership but I guess not!smileys/smiley2.gif). I've been a little nauseous but that's it. I got a migraine yesterday which I hadn't had one in over a year so it got me thinking I should probably take a test with my other symptoms. After trying for so long I'm sure you know you take them expecting them to be negative. It didn't take any time at all for the plus sign to show. I came out of the bathroom crying - Rob thought something was wrong and it took a couple minutes before I could calm down enough to tell him. smileys/smiley4.gif

You will love motherhood. Whatever your "why" was in BeautiControl before the baby--just go ahead and toss it out the window. Your "why" is going to be that baby...especially once you have the ultrasound. That's when it really HIT us that there was a little person in my belly that was going to need out to see the world very soon. My daughter is such a joy in my life.


My one and only piece of advice: people will bore you...practically scare you with their crazy baby stories and tales of pain in labor and delivery. Just stay positive and stay around people who are just as excited about the baby as you are. Everyone's story is different. I was induced, went into labor, pushed 3 times and Makiyah was born. From the time I started pushing to the time Makiyah officially met the world was literally about 1 and a half minutes. smileys/smiley1.gif AND, it was my first child. My doctor almost didn't make it to the room in time to deliver the baby it was going so fast! But, I made a point to eat right, walk everyday, and pray that God would make it quick and painless. My prayers were all answeredsmileys/smiley36.gif I wish you the best and believe me when I say I am so happy for you


BTW...did anyone else notice how many pregnant people were at Leadership? I was almost scared to let anyone touch me...not looking for any baby vibes just yet!smileys/smiley36.gif

That is AWESOME!!!! Congrats! You are going to love it, the good and the bad...it is the best experience in the world to have a little one growing inside you then to see it's smiling face when their birthday arrives.


Hopefully you don't get too sick. I never got sick...just a little nausea, and couldn't eat my favorite food the whole time I was preggers and 6 weeks after (Chinese food...all types).

YES!! I noticed!!! But that is probably because I am wanting another SO badly. It seemed like everytime I turned around there was another pregnant lady! It was crazy. Maybe some of it will rub off on me ;)

I noticed all the pregnant women too - we actually had one of them with us! LOL! It was hard too since I hadn't suspected I might be pregnant yet. I really had about given up that it was going to happen - at least not without help. My "why" before was to get money to pay for fertility treatments so you're right, my why has changed! I go to the doctor on the 12th - I'm so excited and nervous all at the same time.

Congrats Jen!! I know your exact feelings! We have a 7 year old and are now pregnant after we were told that we would not have anymore. I am only awake now at 1 a.m. because Miss Ashley Kae has decided that she would like to do her version of "Turbo Jam"! We are 26 weeks today! Although I am super tired! It makes me smile just too stare at my belly when it becomes a wave pool!! I am smiling for you now as you go on this beautiful journey!

Congrats, Jen! Maybe it's a good thing we didn't meet at Leadership. I was steering very clear of all the pregnant people! After 5 kids, we are DONE!!

Your post almost made me cry as my husband and I have been trying for 2 years now with no luck. Thanks for giving me the renewed feeling of hope that it will happen someday!

Oh my word, Jen, that is just awesome news! Congratulations...this is such a blessing and you are going to LOVE every minute of it (good and bad like someone else said earlier). Keep us posted on how it's going!

CONGRATS to all you who are preggers. But I'm getting scared to even read this site their are so many pregnant ladies I'm afraid its contagious. : ) I have 8 God help me if I found out I was pregnant I don't know what I would do. But I do remember the wonderful feeling of finding out I was that first time after thinking I couldn't get pregnant. CONGRATS AGAIN!!
