Can anyone offer advise on impetigo? I have a customer who's daughter has had this on her cheek area since before Thanksgiving. It clears up with prescribed medication and then returns. Thanks.

Impetigo a highly contagiousbacterialstaph infection. If it's returning, she's getting re-infected. Has she done things such as wash her bedding and clothing such ascoats and hats?Do any of her playmates have it, she may be getting reinfected by someone. I had impetigo when I was a child, and I was quarantined until it was cleared up--no school, no close contact with any other children until it was cleared up. I was instructed to wear a bandage on it (it was on my leg) until it was gone.
You couldtry using something like the skin conditioning oil on it, but she has to avoid all contactwiththe bacteria in order to stop it from returning.
